FOUR YEARS LATER
There was a knock on the door and I went to go answer it. It was Sam and Dean. They opened their mouths to speak but I just opened the door for them and disappeared upstairs. I haven't heard from them since they left for that hunt four years ago. I didn't want to hear their excuses. I've been hunting and trying to find them, I did once though. I just didn't say anything to them. But the angel they were with noticed me, and he was a good looking angel too. The angel, Gabriel, and I started talking and we've become friends over the past year that I've known him. I sat on my bed and called him. I had given him a phone a month ago.
"Hello Justine." Gabriel said answering the phone.
"Hey Gabey. Are, are you busy?" I asked.
"When it comes to you I am never busy." he said appearing and kneeling in front of me.
I tackled him and hugged him. I was so overwhelmed right now that I just needed him to hold me. My brothers left me in the dust and now they are back.
"Justine, what is wrong?" Gabriel asked worriedly.
"They're back." I whispered quietly.
Gabriel vanished from my grip and I heard him yelling downstairs.
"You two are the worst things I have ever met, and I've met some nasty demons. You just left your little sister without a word for four years? Who does that? Only scum does that. You boys are... are... I don't even know what you are!" Gabriel yelled.
"We couldn't talk to her for her own safety! We were hunting the leviathan Gabriel! And not only that, but I've been stuck in friggin Purgatory for the past year! I just got out last week." Dean yelled back.
"Why didn't I know about this?" I asked quietly coming into the room.
Dean looked at me incredously. I don't think he knew that I didn't know anything about the Purgatory ordeal.
"I didn't think you would care Justine." Sam said.
"Of course I would care you idiot! Why wouldn't I care? We are all family! Or at least I had hoped we could be. But that was four years ago when you left me here! I had to learn to fend for myself. I've been hunting on my own pretty much since the day you guys left me. A phone call once every few months would have been nice. Or maybe you just didn't want me to ever be your sister. Whatever the reason I don't care anymore. I thought you both were dead, then you just show up not dead." I yelled.
I ran out of the house and got in my car and drove away. I stopped somewhere along the highway and cried. I sat there and cried. My own family probably never even considered me family. My phone started ringing but I ignored it. Gabriel appeared next to me and he wrapped his arms and wings around my fragile body.
"Everything is going to be okay. You've got me don't you? You know I love you right?" Gabriel whispered into my hair, the last part quiet enough that he probably hoped I didn't hear it.
"I know. I love you too Gabey." I said quietly.
"I think you should go back. Sam and Dean are worried about you. They feel really bad about what they did. And they think that you hate them. One thing that you have to understand is that they do what they do because they care. They didn't tell you because they thought they were protecting you." Gabriel said to me.
"I don't know. I guess you're right, I just don't want to have to face them yet." I replied.
"Well then let's find a motel and you can have some alone time before you go back." he said.
"Will you stay with me?" I asked pulling back slightly from him so that I could look in his eyes.
"Always." Gabriel replied sincerely.
