*Tigress' POV*
I stared in horror as Tai Lung was dragged away by Vachir. He was weakened by strange looking handcuffs. I immediately recognized them. Eight-point acupressure cuffs... They held Tai Lung last time he was captured, so he had no chance of escaping them now.
"AUGH!" I heard him scream as he moved his paws. "Right.. The more movement you make, the tighter they get.." I murmured under my breath.
As they walked away, Shifu was still at the door.
"Tigress?" He said quickly.
"Uhhh..." Storm quickly looked at me and and tensed. I dashed into my room before Shifu could see me.
I pressed my back against the wall and closed my eyes.
Don't turn me in... No..
"No. We never saw her."
"Was she.. Associated with your attack?"
"No."
"Fine. Follow me, we must decide whether you should-"
The voices were muffled after that point. I could hear the shuffling footsteps of General Storm as he cleared out of the palace.
Then everything was silent...
I was alone.
-----
I stepped out of the shower. I rubbed myself with a small towel and removed most of the dripping water, but it was still damp. My disheveled, reeking fur now smelled slightly better, but I wouldn't call it perfect. I stared at myself in the foggy mirror, an unclear picture of orange and black. I sighed and rubbed it, now clearly seeing my face. I looked dead-tired, with huge bags under my eyes. Yesterday was such a long night with Tai Lung.. What will I do without him? There's no purpose to even live anymore.. I sighed and cleared those thoughts. With a blank mind, I headed to my room to change into my regular wear.
Halfway there, a hiss startled me. "There's no one in here, you idiot.."
"Orders are orders. Now spread out and look for that mangy cat!"
"How am I supposed to work with you? You pompous idiot.."
Mangy? Sure. I was tempted to jump into the open and attack the pursuers, but there could be more numbers of them out there. It's too risky.
The arguing continued on as I jumped to the windowsill, wobbling on it but quickly regaining balance and I opened the window. The harsh wind blew against my face, but I successfully landed on the soft grass, and I sprinted through the fields.
I panted hard as I arrived at a dead Oak Tree that was sprawled across the ground. I rested my back on the smooth wood and looked up into the sky.
So stunning.. The blue.. Filled with phenomenal looking clouds...
"Ahh!" I jerked up as a figure appeared above me.
"Crane?"
"Yeah, it's me." He didn't look one bit surprised he had just encountered me.
"What are you doing out here?"
"Beats me, I don't know any other place to go.." He said with a blank expression. He looked away to the endless field of grass.
"What do you mean? What happened to everyone else?" I immediately bit my tongue and wished to get those words back. Tai Lung and I planned that attack.. Oh, he probably knows. Why did I have to open my fat mouth and say something?
"I quit. It's just me and Viper! Monkey and Mantis are dead." He whipped his head and looked at me with such cold eyes, they froze my soul.
"With no help from you. They could've lived, if you even just stopped Tai Lung. I was watching that night, you know that? I saw everything. You are no good to anyone, and I'm glad you left the Furious Five."
I was shocked. Never in years have I seen Crane be that vicious. I was speechless for a couple minutes.
He looked at his feet and kicked a rock laying in the midst of the grass. Depressed, he lifted himself into the air.
"W-wait! You can journey with me.. We can find a new home togeth-"
"And be trapped once again, just training and learning more Kung Fu? Doing nothing in my life but that? I'd rather be dead."
My heart sank. Crane was always so dedicated to Kung Fu... And him saying these words..
"Goodbye, Tigress."
Without looking back, he flapped his wings and soared to the horizon.
I was still distressed and scarred from the confrontation with Crane, but I shook my head and kept persevering up the massive mountain blocking my path to Chor-Gom prison. It was almost midnight, but my eyes could dilate easily and I shouldn't have much difficulty in the dark.
I screamed as I lost my grip and fell down a couple meters. I winced as a sharp stab hit my foot.
I urged myself not to fall. I gripped on to a ledge and pulled myself up. I could feel the blood trickle down, and I could see a red stain form on the sharp rock that had cut my foot.
Then I saw a pebble fall. I looked up. My ledge I was holding on to, was crumbling.
Time seemed to slow down. There was absolutely no way I could survive falling down 600 meters.
I had to do something.
Panic struck through my body as gravity pulled me down. And I was falling, closer and closer to the ground.
I couldn't grab onto the mountain, the velocity would cause me to get a severe burn.
I was running out of choices..
But it was too late anyways...
Because green floor, was right in front of me.
