Killer Magic: Demon Secrets

Chapter 6

I look to my left to see dead bodies everywhere, most of them are our enemies' bodies. I look to my right and see the war going on, Alickina in the middle of it all, slaying wolves, half demon men and other evils. I kick Eachthighearna into a gallop, and race across the field, slaughtering and killing things with each flick of my blade. I meet Alickina and turn so or back are facing each other, killing the evils that fly towards me.

"How are you doing?" I ask her.

"Really? I'm in the middle of something right now.... not in the mood to talk."

"Fine then. I will just ask the people around me." I grin, and my blade hits and kills again and again.

"So as your" her blade get stuck in a body, so I thought a dagger into another attacker, "As your blade pierces their heart you will ask how they are doing?"

"Why not?" I shrug my shoulders, then swing my blade at a blood wolf.

Alickina shakes her head and keeps fighting. I make my why around the battle field, checking on everyone. The twins are fight together, Brenna is finding the wounded and bringing them in, and Lyall is beating the shit out of some guy.

I hear an ear piercing scream and look around to see Roisin being dragged by her hair out of the castle. Without thinking I spring off Eachthighearna and fly towards to demon. He snarls and grabs her by the waste and leaps into the air, taking off fast. I chase him until he dives off and drops Roisin in the middle of battle, luckily, right by Alickina who jumps to her side.

"She is fine. Go get that son of a bitch." I Hear Alickina shouts, making me fly fast towards the bastard.

I follow the demon, planning on killing him until I feel a sharp pain in my side. I look down and see that there is a Tugo poisoned spear in my side. I fall to the ground causing the spear to go through my side ripping it to shreds. The pain is so much, I let loose an ear curdling scream and all I can see is white around me. I have fallen to where the battle has not touched, soft grass touches my skin, even though I don't care, I notice a white flower called a fae flower, meaning a fae has already died here.

I do the last thing I could do to save my friends, knowing that I'm going to die anyways, I use the rest of my life power to leave a protective shield around all the good people and wolves. I whisper gentle "I love you" so that only Alickina, Roisin, the twins and Lyall hear it in their mind. I close my eyes and listen to my heart slowly fade. The pain in my side slowly fades and my heart is slow. I feel myself fading, and know that nothing could save me now. I hear footsteps beside me and hope that it is someone to finish me off until his sent hits me like a wall. Why does he of all people have to find me?

"Mairead, my mate. Oh god. Oh god. Please stay with me. I will love you for always, just stay." Lyall whispers into my ear. I open my eyes gently and whisper "I will always look out for you. I love you my mate." I close my eyes and hear Lyall crying softly, he grabs my hands and pulls me on to his lap, sobs of grief racking his body. My heart is faint but is still beats, and I feel warm tears leaving my eyes. What have I done? I have left a burden for the ones I love. Then, I listen to my heart beat one last time.

I sit up really fast and grab my side, the pain still there from the vision. Was that really a vision or a dream? I can't tell anymore and its getting worry some. For some reason I keep having the same dream, or whatever it was, over and over again. Each time though, I die a different way. Last time I was shot with an arrow, three weeks ago, I had one when I was shot out of the air and slowly shredded. I could feel all every time a Tugo's claw ripped into my flesh, I could feel the pain. I woke up with bruises everywhere, running like the claw marks did in the dream.
