~I'm gonna be the one to hold you when you're scared and you're cold! And I'm gonna be the light to save you when it's dark and bring you home! If all of your walls came caving on you and all your defenses can't protect you then I'm gonna be the one to catch you when you fall!~
A pain hit me unexpectedly like a thrown stone. My head started throbbing and it went out in to my whole body. Where the hell am I?
I looked around only to find myself in Joey and Zach's bedroom, in their bed with the cover tucked around my sore body.
It was quiet in the room, the only sound was my heavy breathing and my beating heart.
Footsteps from the hallway came closer and closer. The door cracked open and more light filled the room.
''Thank God! You're awake! We were so scared that you wouldn't wake up!'' tears streaming down his face as he ran up to the bed and pulled me into his arms.
''You shouldn't have gone back there, baby girl! You shouldn't have! You could have died! I could have lost my baby girl!''
He was so overdramatic.
I hugged him back and staid in his arms.''I'm okay, Joey. Really. My head just hurts a little. How did I get here?''
I looked over at the clock and saw that its was 10 in the morning. I guess I was passed out a long time this time. Yeah, this has happened more then once.
When he had gotten himself together he sat beside me and pulled me closer to his side. Gently rubbing my arm.
''Zach found the note you left and were on his way to get you...then Max showed up before he even got out the door. Max was really confused and angry cause he saw Frank go into the house. I didn't even know what was going in until Max and Zach came here with you passed out in Max's arms with a huge cut in your head.''
Oh my god! MAX!
Joey must have seen the look of shock on my face cause he sighed. He kissed my temple gently and leaned his head against mine.
''He's downstairs sweetie. Zach will throw him out and lock the door if you want to but I think you should tell him. I know you don't know him that well but if you would have seen him like this, worrying about you and never leaving cause he needed to see you wake up. He was screaming at us cause we didn't take you to the hospital. I think he really cares for you as you should talk to him.''
Even though I knew he was right I didn't want to admit it. The fear if loosing Max cause I wouldn't tell him the truth was big but the fear of loosing him cause I did tell him was bigger. He won't look at me the same way as he does now.
''Fine...Could you go and get him?...My head hurts.'' I sighed in defeat as I was going to have to talk to him sooner or later.
''Are you sure? Don't you want to rest some more first?'' Joey hesitated, not wanting to push me evens though I knew he wanted me to tell Max. Not for his own good but for me and Max's
well being.''Yeah...I'm sure. I can rest afterwards.'' nodding my head.
With a heaving breath he got out of the bed and walked to the door. When he grabbed the doorknob he looked back at me.
''I love you, baby girl. Everything will be okay.'' he said with a reassuring smile on his face. I returned the smile as he opened the door and walked out.
The room got darker as the door closed, only the small light from the glade in the curtain filled the room. I bended over and light a candle on the nightstand on the side if the bed so I could see a little but more.
