~So I'm putting my defenses up! Cause I don't wanna fall in love!~
I was walking around, into my favorite stores and cute small shops. I had just eaten lunch with Joey and decided to get some new stuff.
Just stuff. I don't know what but I wanted new stuff.
I was in my favorite shop. A small shop with both antic and new things. everything from lamps to tables to rugs to plates to small decorations.
I absolutely love it.''Are you looking for something special, sweetheart?'' The old lady sitting behind the counter asked me sweetly.
''No nothing special. Just checking if you got something new.''
''Just a few new lamps and paintings.'' she got out from behind the counter and walked to the back of the store. I continued watching the decorations.
''I got this too. I saved it for you cause I know you'd want it.'' she came back with a book in her hands.
She gave it to me and I studied it.It was a black leather book that had leather strings attached ti it that you used to tie the book shut.
In the left downer corner was a trail a flowers that was craved into the leather cover, the flowers crawled over to the right upper corner.
Inside was clank white/yellow pages. It was truly beautiful.
''Thank you, aunt Lucy. It's so beautiful.''
I smiled and gave her a hug.''When I saw it it reminded me of you to be honest. You know...before everything.'' she gave me a sad smile. ''I remember that you'd love writing and painting small pictures. You always carried a book similar to this one with you wherever you went.''
A fainted smile spread on my lips. Aunt Lucy was Franks older sister, she's 60 and Frank's 50. She took me and Dustin in after everything that happened. She tried to get custody of us but Frank wouldn't let her so we stayed at her apartment when shit got bad.
She's been our rock for all these years.
''So what are you doing tonight? Any plans?'' aunt Lucy asked while putting the book in my bag.
''I don't know, I don't have any plans so I might just go to sleep early or something.''
''Okay. Sounds like a good idea. You have work tomorrow right?''
Se handed me my bag and when back behind the counter and sat down on the high black chair. Leaning forward on her elbows as she turned a page in the newspaper.
''Yeah, just a small shift before we close up though cause Joey and Zach are going out.''
I slowly made my way to the door as turned around so I could lean against the glass.
''Okay. I'm have some old friends over for dinner tonight so I'm closing up early so I can get everything ready.''
''If you want help then you can call me, okay?'' I gave her a reassuring smile and opened the door.
''Okay, bye darling!''
''Bye aunt Lucy!'' I called as I walked out the door.
Later that afternoon I found myself just sitting around doing nothing.
It was only 3 and I didn't have I go to work until 4.Walking around in shops again for another half an hour, finding a lot of cute stuff that I just could resist to buy.
I walked around the street corner when I bumped into someone and fell on my butt. How embarrassing!
I quickly looked up from the ground and saw a very cute boy gathering the books and papers that fell out of his bag. He looked about my age with little but longer brown hair that reached down his forehead to his ocean blue eyes. Broad chest and strong arms that showed through his perfectly tight v-neck.
I helped him gather up some papers. There were drawings on all of them and they were all really beautiful. I full moon reflecting in a river on one of them had me mesmerized.
