"What the hell?!" Susan pulled back from the boy's tight embrace and stood up. "Who are you?"

The boy stood up as well, surprised by her reaction. "You don't remember me?" She shook her head. "Not even a little bit?" She shook her head again.

He sighed. "So it did work," he mumbled

"What worked? And where the hell am I?" Susan asked. "Plus, who are you?"

"One at a time, princess," he answered.

Susan bit back a retort- I'm not this princess he calls me, she thought, but it sure feels nice being called one.

"First, I am Rune; no last name, just Rune. The other question I can't answer, but the last I can. You are in your Dreamscape, or Dreamland, whatever you want to call it. Here, you have the power to create and manipulate anything you wish. I am one of your creations."

For a second, just a second, Susan was ready to belive what the boy- what Rune - had said. But it sounded ridiculous! Who would believe -

"- that this is a different dimension and one has unlimited power over it?"

Susan jumped, startled by Rune, who precisely finished her thoughts.

"You can read minds?!"

"Not unless it's you, princess," he admitted. "I was just trying to show off one of the many powers you gave me."

Whatever, Susan thought. Despite having passed through a golden portal, she was still having trouble believing in what Rune said. For now, she will carry on as though it were normal, and she completely believed everything he had explained.

"Oh, princess, your arm is dirty." Susan remembered the melting rainbow snow cone, and began to feel aware of the stickiness. "And your cold.

"Follow me. I'll help you get cleaned up."

The nearby town appeared to be a ghost town. The cobblestone road was chipped and missing a few pieces; broken wagons layed around, broken beyond repair; stores and cottages were covered on cob webs and were also broken. All except one tiny log cabin. Unlike the others, it was in perfect shape, both inside and outside.
"Wow, this is your house?" Susan asked when he led her inside.

He nodded. "Also, the town we are in is a town you created for yourself. Rinehart was it's name."

"That's my last name."

"I know."

It was cozy inside the cabin. The floor was carpeted and the heater was working perfectly. His kitchen seemed average, not new and not old, but small.

"The bathroom is down the hall, last door to your left," Rune instructed.

"But I don't have a towel or clothes," Susan pointed out.

He shrugged, grinning. "Then make them appear. This is your world after all." And with that, he went to the kitchen.

She stomped to the bathroom, angry with Rune for leaving her like that. Make them appear? How ridiculous! She thought. Despite that, she decided to give it a go once she was in the bathroom. The bathroom was small, too, so the door wouldn't open up completely. Once inside, Susan put up her arms as though she were receiving something, palms facing up, closed her eyes, and imagined a towel. She suddenly felt the weight of a fluffy item on her hands.

Oh my God, she thought.

Immedialtely, she made clothes appear out of thin air, smiling excitedly at her impossible achievement. He was right! She thought.

From the kitchen, Rune grabbed two Styrofoam cups of instant chicken flavored Ramen soup and put some water to boil. I wonder if the princess likes ramen, he asked himself.

"I wonder if she's figured it out," he thought out loud.

"Rune? You're home early."

He looked down the hallway to see his other guest coming out of her room. "Up so early? It's only 2:00 p.m."

"Very funny, but I tire easily."

"Cut the bull, Lisanna. I'm the one that works everyday just to bring food on the table and keep the electricity going." Rune frowned at her. The only reason he allowed Lisa to free load was because -

"Hey, your water," Lisa said.

The water was evaporating, leaving nearly less than half of the pot full. "Shit!" He turned off the stove and poured the water into each cup, then covered them to keep the vapor from escaping.

"Is that soup for me?" Lisanna asked. "Or is it for the princess?"

Rune smiled. "I thought you'd lost your touch?" He teased.

"I'm still running like I did eleven years ago," she responded. "Before she left us." Lisa mumbled the last words, as though she were angry.

"You're not still angry with the princess, right? I made her leave, as well as forget us. It's not her fault. I did it for her own safety."

Lisanna threw her hands up and said, "Everything is for Susan! All you think about is her! Ever since the two of you were attacked by that occult group eleven years ago, you've been going back to the field where you last saw her. We've given up, Rune! She doesn't remember us; our world is lost and there's nothing we can do but try to live out each day we have left."

Meanwhile, Susan stood in the tiny hall, hidden by the shadows. She winced at the sound of her name. Or was it from the sharp pain at the back of her head?

"But she came back! Surely that's a good sign. Maybe our world won't become an End dimension!"

Susan winced once more as the pain grew.

"Shut up! I'm tired of your shit! Just stop!"

Their screaming only made her headache worse.

"Lisanna, she's -"

Ooohh, make it stop. Please.

"I don't want to hear it, Rune!"

Susan felt as though a hole was being drilled through the back of her head.

"SHE'S LISTENING!!!!!" he shouted.

Lisanna turned around just in time to see her princess fall into unconsciousness with a loud thud.
