It was a typical day at work but I was more concerned by the dwindling number of students in my class....I guess my heightened ability at the subject proved to be a bit off-putting and then setting homework and not collecting it in....I didn't want the tech to have a reason for sacking me but they were aware of what had happened in my life.

At the end of the lesson involving the 4 students I decided to take a walk across the faculty and attend a lecture of the great professor Alex Gray.....she was giving a talk about hypnosis....It was something that I had knowledge of but her ability was almost as though she wasn't human....I watched one time as she turned a posse of rugby players into ballet dancers and after the event they changed the colour of their rugby shirts to pink although no one seemed to know why.....except for professor Gray.

The lecture was marvellous and well attended and at the end she answered questions about the techniques involved.

"Hello Professor Gray"

"It's Margaret isn't it?"

"Yes that's me"

"What did you think to the lecture?"

"I thought it was very thought provoking.....but is it for real or just illusion?"

"Funny you should say that.....a friend came to see me about a girl she knows and a possible case of hypnotics being used to control her"

"For real?"

"Yes....I've agreed to see the girl......and try to find out if she has been controlled or if it is something else"

"That I would like to see......why don't you have a lecture with a live display?"

"I can't do that......ethical issues"

"That's understandable.......so this girl, does she go to the tech?"

"No....I don't think so, I tried looking for that surname here but had no luck"

"So what's her name......just as a matter of interest?"

"Her name is Rose O'Neill".
