I managed to make an appointment to see Professor Alex Gray...she was very well known in her field and would be the best person to help me with a theory that I had.....she is a hypnotherapist.

"Good Afternoon Professor Gray"

"Call me Alex.....you are one of my closer friends anyway"

"Ok Alex"

"Now then Ailsa what can I do for you?"

"It's a long and difficult story to tell"

"Can you make it concise?"

"I will try and tell you the basic information and then ask your opinion"

"The more information the better....are you needing my professional skills or my advice"

"Possibly both"

"Then tell your story and I can make that judgement for you".

"A girl I know went to the doctor...she had scratches on her back...they found a fake nail on her back which contained a print...they matched it up and further study concluded that the scratches had been made using gloves....the scratches were not deep enough to leave blood nor where they made by nails...the girl does not know how the scratches got there....so is it possible that she was hypnotised?"

"Are you making an assumption that the girl was hypnotised into a sexual act against her will?"

"It is one of my thoughts....I cant explain the scratches"

"Right....well I can say that if a person has developed scratches on their back and does not know how they got there then it is very possible that they were hypnotised....the only problem with the theory of sexual assault makes it difficult....the human brain can be conditioned to do many things but such an incident would eventually be remembered"

"So that theory is wrong then?"

"Not exactly.....it is possible to hypnotise someone without the power of the mind....you can use chemical means"

"You refer to a drug?"

"Yes....there are many on the market but ones like Rohypnol are used for a specific purpose....in this case it is a date rape drug and the victim will eventually remember....so it has to be a drug which cannot be remembered......there are a few which have a limited life span...this means that a substance can activate it....and a substance can deactivate it"

"Substance.....can you give an example?"

"Well if the drug was administered in a solution...for example say it was activated with fruit juice then you couldn't use fruit juice to deactivate it....something simple like water could though".

"So if this has happened...is there anything that can be done to prove this?"

"Yes......such a substance remains in the blood stream for 24 hours"

"OK Ive got all that.....so my next question is.....can you hypnotise this person to find out if they were hypnotised by this method?"

"Yes I can"

"Thank you Alex......all I need to do now is get Rose to agree to meet with you and undergo the procedure".
