Rose must Die

I walked to the door of the bathroom and opened it and then it went dark as a towel was thrown over me.....I managed to close the bathroom door and trap her inside.

"So not drugged....how is that possible?"

"I was given a counter acting drug so your plan failed"

"It failed a long time ago Rose"

I produced a long thin knife from behind my back which I hid in the harness....I fingered the blade to test how sharp it was.

"Im sorry Rose but you have to die....I have no choice...it is all the fault of Louise"

"How?"

"She met you and broke the spell"

"Kill me and you will rot in jail forever"

"No I wont Rose......you and I will die together and then we will be together in the afterlife".

"Nice vision Denise"

She lurched forward and I stepped aside....I managed to get to the door and open it.

"Its all over Denise"

"I wont ask how they are all here or even where Geraldine is"

I watched as Detective Tovey stepped forward.

"Put the knife down Denise.....its over....I promise you a fair trial...its obvious you are insane"

"Im fine....its all of you who are insane and none of you will ever know what it is like to be totally besotted with someone"

Denise turned away from us and began to cry.....the gun was lowered....we missed her reflection....she threw the knife and it circled with precision through the air and embedded itself in my shoulder

"No......Rose"

I grabbed the revolver from her and shot Denise full in the face....she was flung back against the mirror and it exploded.....and then she slumped to the floor....dead.

"Margaret.....you saved me"

"Yes Rose......I love you so much...your bleeding"

"Its ok the wound is only superficial....I will be ok"

The detective turned around to look at me and saw the smoking gun in her hand.

"I should take you in for killing her....but under the circumstances it would do more harm than good".
