Adrenaline -Chapter 1

This is taken from the pilot episode becau I don't see how Casey could of made it out of a fall like that unscathed. This fict is from where Casey come out of the building and asks Chife Boden about Herman all though in the ahpw this took place in the pilot episode. I'm going to write as though it's set in season 5 because then I can include characters from cmChicago PD and Chicago Med

Scene POV
Casey asks " How's Herman" then he broke into a coughing fit and finds it hard to breathe. Boden's eyes widened with concern for the man in front of him.

Boden " He's on his way to Chicago Med to get checked out his injuries are smoke inhalation, a mild concussion and a leg fracture, Casey, you need to worry about yourself."he tells the Lutenent who is now bent over double, struggling to breathe

Casey look up at the Chife stud in front of him with watery eyes and a pained expression on his face " I'm f- fi- fine Chi-fe my mas-k fell of in -in the fa-fall and I - I g-go-got the- the wind knock - knocked out of me ..." then his eyes roll back in his head and he blacked out
The Chife caught him as his body went limp and crumpled to the ground

"Hey, Hey, Casey,Casey, Matt, Matt, Can you hear me" then Chife panic as he lowed the limp body of casey to the ground as gentle as possible to avoid causing further harm to the young Lutenent.

"Hey I need help over here casey's collapsed" he frantically shouts at the rest of the men around him as he takes of his gloves and searches for the unconscious lutenent's pluse as he did so Dawson, Severide,Cruz and Otis came running over to the Chife who was still frantically checking casey's pluse

" What's happening chif ?" Severide asked with a worried tone in his voice and acoustic expression his face, as he knelt down next to the head of the unconscious lutenent

I don't know, he appeared fine when he and you came out of the building, then he was asking about Herman, he broke into a coughing fit and then he lost consusness, Kelly his pluse is rapid and breathing is becoming irregular.
Severide then realises that there is not another ambulance on scene and quickly picks up his radio to put in the request for the required help for his fellow lutenent
"Lutenent Severide to main"
" Go ahead"
"We need another ambulance on scene, we have a firefighter down who has a rapid pluse and irregular breathing "
"We are sending ambulance 61 back to your scene, They have just finished at the hospital"

Ambulance 61 POV

Jimmy was driving the ambulance back to the firehouse when the radio went off and Brett answered it.

"Main to ambulance 61"
"Go ahead Main"
"Are heading back to the firehouse?"
"Yeah"
"Don't, we need you to go back to the scene that the rest of your firehouse is still at. There's a firefighter down who's in ergent need of medical assistance, over"
"Copy that Main, We're responding"

Scene POV
"Casey? Matt, can you hear me?" Severide said in a soft but worried tone. As the ambulance pulled up and both Jimmy and Brett jumped out and ran towards the small crowd of ancaus firefighters now so rounding their fallen brother.
"What we got Chife?" Jimmy asked his
voice full of concern for his colleague.
"Casey found it hard to breathe when first amerging from the building, about twenty minutes he lost consusness and has not yet regained it. His pulse is rapid and breathing his breathing is irregular.
Just then Casey whole body begins to shake uncontrollably
"He's sezing Dawson exclaimed in horror as her concern only increased for the health of the unconscious lutenent.
30 seconds after the sezuise started it came to an it came to an ibeut haunt

"Jimmy get the kit, I need to setup a I.V ASAP to stabilise him, and I need to know what could be make him go down hill like this".
Got it Brett, Jimmy
exclaimed as she startedto preper the I.V to get much needed fluids in to Casey's stymem

Meanwhile, while Jimmy was busy getting Casey's condition stabilised with the I.V fluids and and oxygen mask, Severide was still frantically trying to rouse Casey form his unconscious state to yet no avail, Brett was cutting through the thick fabric of Casey's turnout coat and pants.

Everyone was stopped in thire tracks as Brett finally managed to expose Casey's chest and abdomen to all of thire eyes, the sight in front of them shocked them all, Casey body was horrifically battered covered with large dark buries and deep cuts.
Jimmy spoke up enabling the others to know what his injuries where.
"Looks like he's got smoke inhalation multiple fractured ribs, internal bleeding in his abdominal chest and pelvic cavities; as well as possible limb fractures, dislocations, head troumer and spinal injury, we need to C- collar and board him and get him to Chicago Med ASAP."
As they got him on to the gurney and load in to the ambulance rigg Casey stated to grown

"How do you reckon he managed to make it out of the building with injuries like that?" Severide asked Dawson in a curious tone.

"Probably adrenaline over load when he was in the fire made his body ignore the injuries that he's sustained, hence as it wore off and he made it closer to safety his body realised how injured it is"

"Stop he's coming round we need to reevaluate his injuries". Jimmy explained.

" Matt?, Hey Matt, Can you hear me? Don't move okay?" Brett asks in a friendly and gentle tone in an attempt to rouse the now semi concouse lutenent

"Hel-p m-me, hur-ts" Casey said in a barley audible wisper.

"What? Matt, what's hurting" Dawson asked concerned for the man she loved, as she new for Casey to admit that he was in pian, he must be in a sorius amount of agony.

"St-stom- stomach" Casey tould them in a grogy and scared tone
"Okay, Okay, Matt, just relax we're going to take you to Chicago Med ASAP." Jimmy frantically tould the Lutenent.
"Feel S-ick" the Lutenent tould them in the same groggy tone.
Jimmy didn't panic he just clearly and calmly shouted to Brett " Get the suction"
Brett ran in the back of the ambulance rigg and grabbed the need machine.
As she came back to the group she quickly handed the machine over to Jimmy. Casey eyes grow glazed and rolled back in his head and once again he was unconscious at the same time he started foaming from the mouth the foam was tinged red then he started sezing again.
"Let's get him in rigg and Severide I need to drive to Med, Dawson need you to sit in front passenger set of the rigg and radio Med and tell them what we've got coming and then keep them informed if anything changes with his condition so that they are prepared when we bring him in and Brett I need you in the back of the rigg with me to help me stabilise him and make that we do everything we can, to stop him deterating if we can" Jimmy tould them as they rush Casey in to the back of ambulance 61. Otis and Boden slammed the back door of the rigg as soon as the gurney was safety inside.
