"Fear not, young one. I will not harm you." He said soothingly. His voice was calm, yet held all the strength I desperately needed to anchor center myself again.
"I know you won't," I said. My own voice was weak, strained.
"Hush now." He said, gently messaging the sore cored muscles of my neck. "You mustn't speak, you're still healing." He placed a cool rag on my forehead as he carefully sat on the edge of the bed, brushing a strand of hair off my face.
"Who are you?"
"My name is *Parco Kuria*, but you know me by a different name."
