Chamber of Secrets is Open

I was sitting next to Hermione and Ron at dinner that night. Harry had detention with Lockheart, for flying a magic car. I remember my first lesson with Lockheart.

(flashback)

It was my first Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson and I was sitting next to Ginny as usual. He came in wearing different robes from the ones he wore this morning. I smiled remembering the prank I pulled on him with the twins and Lee. He took the role after talking about himself for ten minutes.

He got to my name and started looking for me, until he spotted me at the back with Ginny. "What are doing all the way over there Faline, come and sit at the front" he said.

"I can't Professor there is no room for me and my friend Ginny" I replied. Lockheart looked at the front seats and saw I was right. He then told me and Ginny to sit in the second row. We complied reluctantly both disliking the teacher.

He then gave us a test and all the questions were about him. It had nothing to do with Defense Against the Dark Arts. I got 86% only because Uncle Remus made me read all of Lockhearts stupid books.

Hermione, Ron and I finished eating, then went to go look for Harry. Because he should have finished his detention an hour ago. We bumped into him and talked about hearing a voice. Before he run off saying it was going to kill someone. All three of us ran after him until we got to a flooded corridor.

There was writing on the wall it said 'The Chamber of Secrets has been opened enemies of the heir... beware' in blood. Harry then noticed Mrs Norris petrified hanging from a hook near the message. That is when the rest of the school appeared after they had eaten.

Draco made a comment about muggle borns and Filch threaten to kill Harry. I took out my wand and his hand burned. I stood in front of Harry protectively when the teachers and Dumbledore arrived.

Dumbledore sent everyone to their dorms, but kept me and the other three. He asked why were in the corridor. Hermione and Harry explained how we went looking for. And how he wasn't hungry and that we were heading back to the common room when we find Mrs Norris and the message. Dumbledore let us go and we went to Gryffindor tower.

I went up to my room and saw Ginny covered in feathers. Was that blood on her hands she was washing off. I confronted her and she told me how she couldn't remember anything from the last. She looked so scared I hugged her tight saying everything will be ok. I knew something terrible was happening to her and I had to save her some how. We pushed our beds together and fell asleep next to each other.
