Faline Potter: First Year

Dumbledore's Office and Going Home

I seat in a chair as Harry and Ron told Dumbledore want had happened in the chamber. Dumbledore sent Rom away to deliver a letter to Azkaban to release Hagrid. He then showed Harry and I the sword I got from the sorting hat and it Godric Gryffindor's name on it. That is when a tall man with long blonde hair walked in with a scared Dobby behind him.

"So you serve the Malfoy's Dobby" Harry stated. So the guy must be Draco's father I thought. He then left with Dobby and Harry followed him with the diary taking off his sock. Dumbledore turned to me and asked if I was ready to tell him want had happened to me in the chamber.

I shook my head and he sighed asking if he would let me see it. I was confused until he explained how a pensive works and that he had one. I nodded thinking of if briefly for him  to take the memory with the tip of his wand.

he disappeared into the pensive much like when Harry and I saw Voldemort's memory. He returned a few minutes later and I looked away stroking Fawkes who was next to me. Dumbledore didn't say anything at first and he said we would talk later. So he sent me to the hospital wing, where I saw Ginny being hugged by a red haired woman.

"Oh you must BE Faline, Ginny has told us all about you" a man with red hair said looking at me. I nodded and then the red haired woman hugged me saying thank you for saving Ginny repeatedly. Ginny introduced me to them properly as Harry and Ron entered the room. They told the Weasley's about want happened in the chamber and to Ginny.

I held Ginny close sitting next to her and Mr Weasley scolded her gently about trusting the book when she couldn't see where its brain was. Madam Pomfrey came in and asked want I wanted to do with Shadow's dead body. I told her I wanted to bury him next to the forest. She nodded and said we would do it tomorrow.

 She checked and healed all our injuries, but we all had to stay the night. I didn't mind and Ginny and I put two beds together and laid down next to each other. before I fell asleep i saw a blonde haired boy disappear from the door. No one saw him but me, I remember how i didn't see him because on boxing day because Hermione was in the hospital wing.

We were all eating dinner when Hermione and the rest of the students (and cat) who were petrified appeared in the door way. Harry, Ron and I stood up and she hugged Harry and I shaking Ron's hand afterwards. We had just sat down again when Hagrid arrived. He thanked us for proving his innocence.

Then Harry stood and said "it is not Hogwarts without you Hagrid" hugging him. Hermione, Ron and I nodded in agreement and then we all started clapping. The whole school joined in even a few Slytherins. Hagrid cried tears of joy.

The next day we were all packed and I went to Shadows grave to say goodbye. I had sent an owl to Uncle Remus telling him of Shadows death and he came to his small funeral. Dumbledore had asked to talk to him privately before he left. Ginny came to get me and we got onto the train with everyone else.

As we (Ginny, Neville, Luna and I) sat in our compartment, Draco appeared. He asked to talk to me I agreed. We went into the corridor and he was about to say something. But I cut him off saying "I know you gave me the necklace and I love it thank you. I'm sorry I didn't meet you on boxing day. But Hermione one of my few friends was in the hospital wing. When we get back from the summer holidays we can try to be friends" I finished kissing his cheek.

Before going back into my brothers compartment. Hermione invited me to her face for a sleep over the holidays I agreed. She then said it was weird going home, but she is wrong. I have two homes and that is where Harry or Uncle Remus are. Harry promised to write to me over the summer.

We got to Kings Cross Station and I retrieved my trunk from the other compartment. I said goodbye to everyone and saw the Dursleys picking up Harry. When aunt Petunia saw me she froze, I smiled and waved saying to Harry "I'll see you around big brother" loud enough for them to hear.

Uncle Remus found me and asked how me first year was. I told him everything once we got him and comforted me when I cried. I then went to bed after putting my stuff away and saying goodnight to Jean (her phoenix).
