Gene took Aphmau by the chin again.
"You know, Kitty, I admire your...persistence. Any self respecting girl would've just...rolled over and died by now but you...no. You're just as annoying as you were in high school," he murmured.
He leaned in close and she tried to pull back, but he forced her into a kiss. It lasted a short time. She pushed him away.
"Stay the hell away from me you sick son of a bitch," she panted, enraged.
"Well, I want to enjoy your company before I rip you limb from limb. And I'm gonna do it slowly. And if I go slow enough...," he pulled put his pocket knife and began to trace it along her lips. "I can show you your own beating heart before you die."
"You...you're insane...you need help...," she whimpered.
He scowled and sliced her cheek open. She screamed.
...
"That was her!" Aaron cried. "Irene help me..."
"Come on, we gotta hurry," Sasha said.
...
Aphmau sobbed silently as Gene sat watching the door, pistol in hand.
She knew her friends were coming. And she was scared that they were gonna get their brains blown out for her sake.
...
"We gotta find another way in," Sasha whispered.
"Why?" Vlyad inquired.
"Because Gene and Zenix are gonna be waiting behind that door with guns," Laurance answered. "Trust me. I should know. They're cunning bastards."
"Okay, so where are we getting in at?" Aaron asked.
"There, window," Sasha replied, pointing up.
Aaron joggled over and grabbed a groove in the wall, pulling himself up and through. The others followed suit.
...
"P-please Gene...If you wanna kill me, fine, but just...leave my friends out of this...," Aphmau begged.
He forced her into another kiss, and this tine she couldn't push him away.
...
Aaron's eyes were burning with fury. Sasha pulled out a gun.
"Where the hell did you--"
"A magician never reveals her secrets. Gene left his pistol by the door. He won't be able to get it either...not for a while," she teased.
"Why is that?"
She pointed to the door, and he looked over to see Jillian quietly unloading the gun.
"You told her?" he growled angrily.
"Yeah, and I'm glad I did," she snapped quietly.
The officer nodded and Sasha drew her gun and fired five times. The bullet severed the chains binding them. Aphmau, Dante, Zane, Katelyn and Travis took off, but they never made it to the door. Balto was there.
"RUN!" Aaron yelled.
Aphmau and the others took off towards them, and Jillian ran outside to call for backup. Werewolves were no one woman job.
The group took off up the stairs. Sasha slammed shut the door and leaned against it as Balto snarled and threw himself at it.
"Quick, window window!" Aaron yelled.
Garroth, Laurance, Vlyad, and Dante managed to get out before Balto broke the wood.
"We gotta go!" Sasha cried.
Aaron grabbed Aphmau's hand and the five of them kept going. But the only way out was up.
Jillian ran over to the four who'd escaped.
"Are you boys alright?" she asked.
They nodded. "The others are stuck in there!" Dante exclaimed.
...
"The roof!" Sasha yelled.
Aaron fumbled with the lock.
"Move you dumbass," she complained, shoving him aside and kicking open the door.
The group rushed onto the roof and Sasha slammed it closed behind them.
"That won't hold him for long. And by now at least one of 'ems got a gun. We're so screwed. Any of you got a weapon?" she asked.
"What about your gun?" Aaron questioned.
"Empty. Great. I'm gonna die on a roof with you Yahoos," she groaned. Then she smiled. Maliciously.
"Or rather, you are."
She smacked Travis with the gun and he fell, unconscious.
"Travis!" Katelyn cried.
Sasha turned the gun towards Aphmau.
"Do you have any idea how hard this was? To get you to trust me? But I was the best of those sons of bitches! The most loyal!" she screamed, switching off the safety. She'd lied about the gun being empty.
"You bitch," Katelyn seethed.
"Goodbye, Aphmau."
The gun fired three times. Aphmau felt a sharp pain in her leg, then she heard two more bullets hit flesh.
"NO!"
Aaron hit the ground in front of her as her leg gave out.
She crawled over to him.
"You are a persistent little bitch aren't you?" Sasha hissed, kicking her in the ribs.
"Agh!" Aphmau grunted, falling onto her side. Sasha landed another blow to her chest and her face.
"You're gonna sit here and watch him die, then I'm gonna kill your little friends here. Then, I'm gonna kill you. Nice and slow, until you scream and beg for death," she promised.
