Pony's POV

We had to get ready while the gang waited in the house. Dally and Two-Bit stayed sober for the occasion that only Darry and Soda knew of. The one I didn't know. Secrets. Anyway, it was 1:45. We had to go.

In the car, Soda buzzed with excitement. Darry was in a good mood. I just stared out the window until Soda talked.
"Where do you think we're headed, Pony?"
"No idea." He chuckled.
"Come on! Guess!" Darry wore a huge grin. What was going on?
"Uh.." I don't know.
"To race?" That was my feeble attempt.
"Naw. Steve would be with us if that was the case."
"Soda, he don't know. Just hold on Pony. A few more minutes." Great. We got to a home for boy and girls. It reminded me of Rosa. I stared at everyone out there.
"We getting a younger sibling?"
"Close enough." Soda said. We headed into the place.

Soda's POV

I can't wait for Pony to see Rosa. She left when we were little and now. She. Was. 13. I can't believe we missed everything. Pony and Rosa were close. He shifted toward me once she left. Pony and Rosa were like twins. She was 13 and he was 14 but that didn't change things. They both used to act like 2 year olds. Or was that me and Steve? I dunno. They used to be two alike.

But what was she like now? It kinda scared me to think about. The place looked worn but as we passed kids, many looked beat up and a couple were in a blade fight. I tried to get Pony to guess but he didn't get it.

I looked for Rosa. It didn't seem like she was outside. But we parked many shouts of Greaser rang throughout groups of soc girls and boys. How did socs get here? But, we walked inside.
