Theresa is the daughter of Aphrodite. She is the prettiest water nymph in Patrai, Greece. Every man wanted to marry her. Theresa, unlike her mother, had no interest in forming a relationship with a man.

Comastus is the son of Gladios, the King of Patrai. He was among one of the many who loved Theresa. Though he didn't just love her for her beauty, he loved her for her kind heart.

Aphrodite wasn't pleased that such beauty was going to waste. She wanted more broken hearted and head over heels in love men. She threatened Theresa in her dreams that she was going to make her fall in love. Theresa was not in favor of her mother's decisions, and would do anything to avoid her.

Theresa, at night, uncomfortably hid in Athena's temple located in Patrai, for she knew her mother would not pass over her enemy's territory. Even under the protection of the great goddess of war and wisdom, Athena, Theresa could never fall asleep.

With sleep being the one and only thing she needed, she prayed to the god of sleep himself, Hypnos. Every night, this minor god came to the temple of Athena at night to aid Theresa. He protected her all throughout the cold nights. Slowly, he formed feelings for the vulnerable but humble nymph who prayed to him for his help.

Days, weeks, months went by and Theresa had no nightmares of her deceitful mother. Though she knew her sleepless nights weren't very sleepless anymore, she didn't know Hypnos was the one who has been aiding her. Hypnos was very controlling over Theresa. He never wanted to see her with another man, so he took his job of protecting her very seriously. Though he obviously wasn't expecting Aphrodite to ask for help.

Aphrodite was sick and tired of her beautiful daughter not causing drama in her love life! Aphrodite called upon her son, Eros, to shoot Theresa with a golden arrow; making her fall in love with the first man she lays eyes on. Eros agreed and planned on proceeding with the plan the next morning.
