Chapter 1

Returning Souls

About two years since the event with Eddy's older brother. Everyone from the neighborhood was much close and all right with each other. You have Jimmy and Sarah and still the best duo in the town, with Johnny and Plank close behind them. Kevin is still the jock of the group but is more respectful to others and doesn't show off as much. Nazz is still cheerleader captain along with Jimmy, Sarah and many others. Ralf still remains as a foreigner but has come to understand the new world more. All that are left are the Kankers and the Eds, now the two groups have more respect for other but there are still the sudden flares between them. Lee Kankers is still on top with Marie Kanker and May Kanker behind her. For the Eds, Eddy still remains top dog, Edward aka DD was second with Ed last but the power doesn't stay the same all the time. Everyone had to go to a different high school since the peach creak high got burned down. They go to a school called Phoenix high school and our story starts here. This is everyone's second year at the school and they are all in tenth grade.

It was half a day on Friday 9/13/11at about 12:15 when the gym teacher called them during lunch. "Edward....eddy.....ed?" the teacher said. Everyone looked around and the eds were at the back of the lunchroom. The three of them walked over to the gym teacher, "Eddy, did u do anything this time?" Ed said as they were in front of the teacher. "I didn't do it coach!" eddy said before the gym teacher could talk. "Your not into trouble, I need to ask you three something." He said. DD turned and walked away, "I said it before coach I'm not playing football anymore" he said walking away. Ed and eddy stayed and talked with the coach and returned to the table with DD. A second later the Kankers were sitting with them. "So what's the news about our boys" Lee said holding eddy, eddy tried for a second to get out of her hands but couldn't. "It was about football again and trying to get more people but DD here said no again." Eddy said getting free from lee. "Is that right, why is that DD" Marie said. "I have no reason to play besides I'm not a sports person like everyone else. DD said looking down at his food. "I'm sure you can do it besides we would be cheering you on." Marie said. DD got up and throws his food away and went to get his stuff. "Why does DD Look sad or down." Marie said. "His folks like it when he plays or performs but he doesn't have the talent or skills to do so." Eddy said. "Plus his father likes football a lot" ed said. "I feel sorry for him." Marie said. "Awe, how sweet to care so much about your boyfriend. May said. Everyone laughed. "Shut up! He's not my boyfriends" Marie said turning red. The gang went to get their stuff and run to get DD since school was over. "Wait, Sock head!" Eddy said running to get him. "I thought we agreed not calling me that anymore" DD said turning to him. Ed and the Kankers caught him with them, "What are you Kankers doing here?" Eddy said. They went back and forward with each other for a minute then they all went the same way.

The groups of kids were walking towards the street to cross it when may trip into on coming traffic. Ed grabbed May and was able to move to the other side of the road before the car jerk to the side of the road. "Way to go Ed!" Everyone said. Then there was a lot of loud horns and crash noise. There were cars flipping and crashing, a car part flew by and hit Ed on the back. It torn through his shirt and left a mark on his back. Eddy moved lee back so they weren't close to the road and as he did that a car just missed them. The car that misses them went towards Marie, she was so shock and surprise she couldn't move. DD was able to push her out the way but not enough to get out of the way. The car hit DD but he was holding onto the front so it would not hit him but it was still pushing him back. The car pushed DD into a wall and pinned his arm so he couldn't move it. All DD could do was yell from the pain, then there was this feeling coming over him as if there was something there near him but he couldn't see anything. The feeling lingered over him but fade away. Ed was hurt but he was still able to move with the help of May. Ed and Lee were fine and Marie was too. They ran to DD and tried to move the car but couldn't.

"DD! Are you all right Guys help him!" Marie said. Ed and Eddy tried to move the car but couldn't. Lee and May tried to open the door to manually move the can but couldn't. "I'm fine... I can't move my arm but I'm still alive." DD said. Marie was crying and everyone was trying to figure a way out and to calm Marie down. Then that feeling came back and the next thing DD knows Ed collapsed after moving towards the sidewalk. The next thing that happened was there was this intense feeling of pain coming from the side of DD's neck and cause him to yell in pain. Everyone moved Ed to a safer spot while Marie and Lee tried to calm DD down.In the midst of the pain and yelling, DD put his hand on the car and started pushing it. It moved a little until DD's other arm was free. What happened next no one could explain. DD was able to push the car all the way back before he past out. Marie held him and tried her best not to cry but it wasn't working so well. The police and ambulance showed up a few minutes later and help everyone as much as possible. Both Ed and DD were taken to the hospital. They were taken care and their life's were no longer in danger at least from a humans point of view.
