Chapter 14: So Called Christmas Party Set Up, featuring confessions

December 12
Today, the kids had to set up the party. It wasn't too much to do since everyone was pretty much done. However, it did take them a long time. Later on in this chapter, you'll read how.

Brianna's POV
After Marylee telling me about liking Daniel again, I did become shocked. I thought she got over him years ago!

At one point, Daniel and I dated and it didn't turn out so well. We didn't have big fights or anything, but we just weren't made for each other.

I'm happy for Marylee because since she's been having a hard time at school and having a boyfriend can relieve her stress and depression. I can date somebody else, I mean there is a cute guy I like at my college. Okay how did the subject go on me? Let's move on!

I put up the last ornament on the tree and Marylee put up the tree topper since she was taller than me.

" Guys, I don't think this will really be a party," Pauline said.

" Why do you say that?" Peter asked. I was wondering the same thing.

" In the show Pretty Little Liars, the 5 girls did the same thing we're doing right now and the party turned out to be a fake party," Pauline explained.

" That's just a TV show Pauline! That won't happen in real life! Don't believe everything you see on TV," Brianna said.

" Or in movies, books, videos, and etc," Tyrell added.

" Yeah, no one needed to know that Tyrell," Pauline said with sass.

" Whatever," Tyrell replied and he placed the presents under the tree.

Tan came downstairs to the basement and we were done.

" Well, I am very proud of you kids. You like to get things done early. For the rest of the day, you can just relax," Tan said.

Tan's been more chill lately. He's been letting us chill. Well, that's because we're getting
a lot of things done for our party tomorrow. I feel mixed emotions about this party. Like what Pauline said, it could be fake. Tan could bring in a bunch of mannequins like how A did in Pretty Little Liars with a little party he was going to have.

We got out of the basement and went outside. We went right by the bushes which was our usual hang our spot. On our way there, I was talking to Marylee about Daniel.

" Marylee, you should tell Daniel that you have a crush on him! Now! You'll probably never get the chance after today! Then when we get back from this awful place, you guys can ask each other out, become a thing, and then things at school can get easier for you," I told her.

" I don't know about this," Marylee replied.

" Just do it!" I yelled pushing Marylee into Daniel.

Marylee's POV
"Ouch!" I cried as Brianna pushed me into Daniel.

" Are you okay?" He asked.

" Yeah, I-I'm f-f-in-e," I stuttered. Geez, why am I stuttering?

I was going to confess to Daniel that I had a crush on him. Decision was made by Brianna and I agreed with her to do it. God, I'm so stupid. The worse thing about this is that everyone was watching.

" Daniel, can I ask you something?" I asked.

" Can I ask you something?" He asked and we both laughed.

" You can go," I said.

" No, you go," he replied.

" No, you!"

We laughed again.

" Okay I'll go," we both simultaneously said and laughed.

I stepped up and told him my feelings.

" Here, I'll go. So Daniel, I know this was like years ago, but recently I've started having s crush on you again," I confessed.

" Marylee, at one point, I did like Brianna and date her. It didn't work out because we didn't go great together. I do like you, a lot," Daniel confessed.

We both said our confessions and sat in a circle along with everyone else clapping because we confessed to each other.

" You can stop now," I commanded and they did stop. Thanks for listening to me!

" Well, are you going to ask each other out?" Peter asked.

" Not now, it's not the best time or best place," I replied.

It really wasn't the best time or best place. We were stuck in Tan's dumb dollhouse and we've been trying to get out of here for a week. Maybe when we're out of here, it would be a great time.

I grabbed a couple of strawberries and Daniel tried getting a little clingy with me so I played around with him for a bit.

" Stop it Daniel," I giggled.

" Why don't I put this strawberry on your nose?" He playfully asked grabbing one of my strawberries and smashing it on my nose. I laughed.

" How dare you?!" I cried running away from him. He starts chasing after me.

" Is anyone going to help me?" I asked.

" Nope, the rest of us are sitting here and watching the show," Hannah said grabbing some grapes and strawberries and eating them and watching the show. Hope she's enjoying it.

Everyone else didn't help and they looked like they didn't know what to make out of it. Come on!

I was actually pretty pissed, but I was having fun. Playing around with Daniel did get my mind off of things. Like that mean girl Katie, school, and just everything. I was so happy and I haven't been happy in a year! This is the first time in a year! It felt great!

Brianna's POV
Daniel and Marylee are so cute right now! They're chasing each other and Marylee is so happy! She hasn't been happy in so long! Seeing her happy made me feel happy too. I did something great. Props to me!

I sat there dreamily watching them, so cute!

It's official everyone, I have died of cuteness overload. I'm sure everyone else has too.

I tapped on Hannah's shoulder.

" I'm so glad Marylee is happy again," I told her.

" I know, it's been a little over a year since the last time she was happy. Since then, she was never really happy," Hannah said.

The last time Marylee was happy was a little before the whole bullying thing happened. It was before the talent show last year that caused all the bullying. I went in and told the teachers, the principal and anyone who you could think of and they said they couldn't do anything about it. I was pretty mad.

Now that I'm seeing her happy, it just made those flashbacks fade away.
