"It's not that bad, (Y/N)," Your mother looked up from her tablet and shook her head, "A new school is not bad at all." You shoved another bite of cereal into your mouth and stared down at your hands. Of course a new school was bad. Moving halfway across France was bad enough, but adding a new school to the mix? Pure torture.
"But mom," You mumbled looking up from your bowl. She glared holes into you as soon as your eyes met, and you quickly looked away, "Fine, but I won't like it." A satisfied look crept up her face as she stood up from the large table, ignoring the last mumbled words.
"I'll have your father drop you off at the front doors. Remember to behave and not dishonor our family. Are we clear?" You nodded slightly, staring down at the circling pieces of cereal. You lost your appetite and stood up as well, leaving the bowl for the maid.
"Yes mother," she gave you a quick nod before hurrying out of the room. That was your mother for you; always cared more for her business then she did for you and your opinions. With a small sigh, you lifted your (Color) school bag and left the large dining room.
Your father greeted you at the front door and sent you a sympathetic smile. Your dad was the better of the two parents, at least in your humble opinion. Even if both of them were often engaged in their work, your father always seemed to notice and care for you more than your mother. Even if it was slightly.
"You'll be great, kiddo," He looked over at you as you descended down the front steps, down to the round driveway where the car awaited. You shrugged nonchalantly before sliding to the back seat of the expensive car, buckling your seat belt. Your dad gave you one last look before pulling out the front gates.
For the majority of the ride, the car was silent. You didn't know if it was because your father didn't know what to say, or if was trapped in his own mind, pondering about his life. Both were possible. Suddenly, he looked up from the road, into the rear view mirror, locking eyes with you.
"Don't give your mother such a hard time, (y/n)," he shook is head out of disappointment and shame, that had emerged out of seemingly nowhere, which caused you to sink further into the seat behind you, "Everything she does, she does for you. I hope you know that." You looked away in your own wallowing pity and shame, almost as if wishing the expensive leather of the seat would swallow you whole right there and then.
"Just... Cut her some slack, and she just might loosen up, ok?" Your dad's voice softened, becoming kinder than his previous tone. The warm comment sent a smile to your face as you looked up. Your dad's eyes glanced up at you pleadingly and you let out a slightly defeated sigh.
"Yes father," he nodded in gratitude, relief written in his face. The car pulled up to your new school, and you took in a deep breath. Your dad smiled at you reassuringly as you opened the door and stepped out into the courtyard, your heart hammering on within your chest. No words could express the anxiousness that swamped your entire being.
"You'll be great. Don't worry about what your peers say, you're a (L/N). We don't fear the spot light," your day called from the open window of the large car. You shoved your hands in your pockets and headed inside- as nice as the comment was, your heart was still millimeters from leaping out your mouth in worry.
"Hey! Look it's (Y/N)!" You heard someone call from behind you, making you flinch. You walked a little faster and burst through the front doors, making sure not to slow down. "(Y/N)! Wait!" You looked over your shoulder, and walked faster into the building.
People muttered around you, pointing fingers in your direction. It wasn't surprising to say the least. You were the son/daughter of (M/N: Mothers name) and (F/N: Fathers name) (L/N), two very famous actors and directors. Naturally you drew attention in the crowds like a light bulb to moths. The whispers and hushed voices around you were the very proof."Hello everyone," you forced a taut smile and walked briskly across the courtyard, hoping to get done with the whole ordeal quickly. People grinned and waved to you as you b-lined for the office. You slightly waved back with a half-made smile, and hurried in the large doors when something slammed into you.
It took a moment to realize what had just happened. You glanced around and noticed you were on the floor- which you hadn't truly noticed, as the shock had probably faded out the pain of the fall- your backpack's contents spread around you in a disorderly fashion. You heard a few small gasps escape the lips of your new peers as they pointed again.
"I'm so sorry! Here, let me help you pick up!" Someone said above you. You glanced in the direction of the voice and locked eyes with those of an almost unnatural green. You furrowed your eyebrows, noticing their extended hand.
"No, you're... Fine. I should have been watching where I was walking," you shrugged, biting your inner cheek. You took a hold of his hand and smiled. The green eyed boy pulled you to your feet and bowed in apology.
"I'm still extremely sorry," you shrugged, examining his features. They had well kept slightly wavy blond hair and a tan complexion. The rich but cool guy style in clothing that was obviously designer but causal. He stood about your height and it was easy to tell he was extremely fit.
"Come on, Adrien," an aggravated voice said behind you. You looked up at the voice and stared into yet another pair of unnatural eyes. What's up with the unnatural colors? Is that normal here? You found yourself thinking. The boy behind you looked oddly similar to the first, though he had his blond hair brushed neatly down and had a classier look to him. The most distinct difference, he had blue eyes, with a significant glare to them.
"I'm coming, Felix," the boy, or Adrien, stood up and readjusted his silver shoulder bag, "Just let me help him/her pick up their things." The boy behind you, Felix, rolled his eyes but proceeded to help pick up your things too. You quickly got down and picked up what you could.
Both boys handed you your things as you smiled sheepishly. "You didn't have to do that. I could have managed." You said sheepishly, awkwardly scratching your head. They exchanged glances, and Adrien grinned wider, turning to you.
"Nonsense!" He said patting you on the shoulder, "It was my fault, so it was my duty to help. And, despite what he likes people to think, Felix is just too kindhearted to stand by and watch." This comment received an annoyed grunt from the second boy, who turned away with red-dusted cheeks.
"Thank you," you smiled and threw your bag over your shoulder. You held out you hand to him and grinned, "I'm (Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)." His eyes widened slightly as Felix whipped around in your direction, both boys staring at you intently.
"As in the Actor/Actress?" Adrien asked, dumbfounded. You nodded slowly as he took ahold of your hand forcefully. Felix stood by you silently, examining your features. "It's an honor to meet you! We're huge fans of your work! I'm Adrien Agreste, and this here is my twin brother Felix!"
"Nice to meet you," Felix finally spoke up, bowing slightly. You rolled your eyes and chuckled. The last name Agreste seemed vaguely familiar. Where had you heard it? Then it hit you.
"Ah! You're Gabriel Agreste's sons! I remember you now! Both extremely talented teen models!" You grinned at them. Adrien's face turned a bright red as his grin widened. Felix turned away again, a pink tint to his ears.
"You know who we are?" Adrien asked. You simply nodded and smiled wider.
"Of course I've heard of you! Everyone's heard of you! You're famous, after all. It'd be more shocking if I didn't know about you, honestly." You explained grinning between the blond haired boys. Adrien smiled and let go of your hand.
"Well I don't know about you, but I actually want to make it to class on time," Felix spoke up with a rather condescending tone and proceeded to walk away briskly. Adrien rolled his eyes and turned back to you with an apologetic smile.
"Ah, I'm sorry about him. He gets that behavior from our father," was all he said. Trust me. I know how you feel. You thought to yourself.
