_______________________
You felt a violent scream escape your lips as you plummeted towards the cold, unforgiving water below you. Your entire life seemed to play like a movie on your closed eyelids. You waited for the crushing blow as you felt dread completely overpower you. "Y/N!" Someone screamed just above you, causing your eyes to flutter open.
A black blur whirled above you, seeming to catch up to you. Your vision blurred with the release of tears. The cold wind wrapped around you, freezing your skin and burning your eyes.
You felt something wrap around you and with a mighty cry the person swung their free arm around. The wind seemed to dull around you.
"Brace yourself," the voice yelled and you glanced down. Before you could register, your body was over taken by the overwhelming feeling of cold.
Your body was engulfed in the cold water bringing you to a sudden realization of where you were.
You glanced around at your surroundings, your eyes landing on a black object drifting the bottom of the cove you found yourself in.
You opened your mouth to scream but the water around you silenced your cry. With the remaining energy you had and your oxygen running short, you swam your heart out.
You reached out to the person who seemed to be engulfed in a field of ink or some black liquid. The black blur reminded you of nothing else then the Chat's cataclysm.
The mist faded bringing the color of yellow into your field of vision.
Your eyes widened to see Adrien slowly sinking to his doom, his emerald eyes staring soullessly into yours.
You grabbed ahold of his arm and kicked as hard as you could towards the surface of the water. Adrien's gaze dropped down, his hand grasping around some black object you paid no mind to.
Your life seemed to blur together in your mind as a weigh rested on your chest. The feeling was familiar to you.
You felt it before. A memory of the time before your parents became famous filled your brain. You were young, and your family visited the beach.
You could remember the very feeling you had that forgotten day, your younger self laughing and jumping around in the warm, soft sand.
You could remember your family's smiles as you kicked around in the water. The waves, the hot sand, the joy.
You shook the memory from your head and focused on getting to the surface of the water. You lungs burned and yearned for air. You needed to not only save yourself but save Adrien, too.
Images of your life in (home/city) filled your brain. Your old house, your old life, your old hang out spots.
You thought of the movies you were in. The friends you made on set. The ride here. Your parents getting distant.
You recalled your first day of school here. All of nerves you felt and the sorrow you had. Then the color of green and blue filled your mind.
Adrien and Felix
You felt a serge if adrenaline flow through you at the thoughts of the boys. They were your first true friends. They understood your struggle.
The both seemed to slip from your grasp as you felt yourself slowly loose the strength to go on. 'No,' you felt your very being yell.
'This isn't it. I'm not going to die like this. Not when I'm just beginning to feel like i belong again'
Your vision fell to Adrien whose eyes seemed to drift close beneath you. You felt something within yourself break.
Images of all the times your had with the twins filled your mind as sorrow consumed you. Adriens smiles. Felix's smirk. Adriens laugh. Felix's warmth towards you. You let out one last silent cry.
'I can't loose everything again! Not now! NOT EVER!'
With one final burst of energy you broke the surface of the water. The flow of oxygen into your lungs burned, your body forcing water out in painful heaves.
You dragged Adrien ashore laying him on the hot sand. He too started gagging out the salty water.
You fell to the ground without any energy. You gaze landed on Adrien and a broken smile pressed on your face.
"Y/n?" Adrien croaked, his gaze turning to you. "Y/n!" He tried to yell, struggling to grasp ahold of you.
You heard distant yells, your blurry gaze landing g on Felix who stumbled down the beach, rushing towards you.
You felt yourself draw in a breath and your eyes start to flutter shut.
'They're safe.' Is all you thought then you were consumed by the haunting darkness of unconsciousness.
