"Hello people of Paris!" A loud, booming voice shouted excitedly from outside, "Welcome to the Parade!" The Cat looked away from you and up at the masked woman.
"What now, My Lady?" He asked with a catty grin slapped on his face. An odd feeling of deja-vu hit you like a truck; you had certainly heard that voice before. As you racked you brain for answers, the woman spoke up, taking a jump and landing besides you.
"Look, first, get this young girl/boy here to a safe place. That's your new priority. Then, meet me at the base of the Eiffel Tower. I've got a plan to take down Floatierience," she said, her tone all business and no play. With a smug grin and a nod, the black-clad boy turned to you and suddenly picked you up, causing you to let out a small yelp.
"Hey- put me down!" You found the words leaving your mouth hurriedly and breathily. You heart started hammering within your chest quite heavily, as you dreaded what was to come. The black cat smirked at you and tightened his grip around your torso. "Woah, woah, what are even you doing?" You demanded with a slight tone of embarrassment.
"Saving your life," he answered back with his usual sly smile, and raised up a small metal staff from his belt, "Hold on, mousy," his voice rang within your head as you gripped him tightly. He took two large steps and jumped upwards, flying out of the window. You felt a scream escape your lips as the hero and you plummeted towards the ground.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw the leather-clad hero grin wider as he whipped the metal staff out in front of you both. Then, as if it were magic, it extended out more than was physically possible for such a small device, and the top slammed into the ground.
The masked man grabbed ahold of the side and slid down it effortlessly with you still on his shoulder. When you reached the bottom, he finally set you down and bowed. "You're wel-" he hadn't finished speaking when a grunt escaped his lips as you hand met his bare cheek forcefully.
"Woah, woah- Did, did you just freaking slap me?!" He stammered out staring at you in bewilderment. His hand flew to his face, covering the reddish mark that your hand had left in his otherwise intact cheek. You crossed you arms and smirked out of satisfaction.
"You did just slapped me! Ungrateful little jerk!" He spat, holding his cheek and sending out a venomous look to you.
"Oh no, you're the jerk! You don't just throw someone over your shoulder and jump out a window!" You yelled back, tapping your foot on the ground out of irritation. He stared at you for a few seconds, and started laughing.
What the...?
That completely unexpected action caught you totally off-guard. He straightened his posture and grinned.
"You're feisty," he grinned at you, leaning in ever so slightly. You stepped back a little in reaction. "Kitty likes," he murmured, then winked with a soft purr. You rolled you eyes and glared daggers. "Oh, aren't you gonna be fun to be around..."
"Screw off prick," you spat, whirling around to start walking away. You were only able to take a few steps, though, before a hand grabbed your arm, spinning you around. "What?" You hissed, glaring at the one and only culprit.
"Listen, it's not safe out here," his face morphed into one of seriousness, contrasting his previous flirty tone. You froze at the grim expression as he slowly let go of your arm. "I don't know where you came from, but it's easy to tell you've never experienced an akuma attack before. It's dangerous, okay?"
You gulped at the cold but caring edge to the man's voice. You glanced around and back into his deep green eyes, trying to find a place to rest your restless sight on. The staff he held shrank down to its original size, and he twirled it around and clipped it back to his belt.
"I'll take you home," he said simply and plainly, walking up to you. You nodded meekly and started leading the way, not wanting to question his change of heart. It shocked you how quickly he had changed his mood and expression with you. It was like talking to two different people. As you approached your house, he stopped behind you and folded his arms, leaning against a wall.
"Go ahead. I'll make sure you get in safely, then I'm off." You simply nodded and started towards your door. He kind of scared you at the moment. You never liked people in masks or secrets, after all. You got more than enough of that from your parents.
Your hand was about to pull out the keys from your pocket, when-
"(Y/N)!" You heard him yell frantically from behind you, causing you to jump and almost drop your belongings. You whirled around at neck-breaking speed, and came face to face with someone of blazing blue cat eyes. Another pair of cat eyes? Your heart hammered on within your chest out of fear and other complicated feelings as you stumbled backwards.
"But would you look at what the cat dragged in," the person spoke in a hoarse, cold tone which caused your skin to crawl. "Why, if it isn't a little mousy!" They purred, a smirk suddenly plastered on his face. He stepped towards you with powerful legs and grabbed ahold of your chin, causing you to stare deep within his eyes.
The cat boy from before ran up towards you and ripped you away from his grasp, hissing angrily at the second his hands made contact with your skin. You were finally able to get a good look at the second cat person; they were the spitting image of the first, except this one was in a white suit, and had slightly longer, better groomed hair. And the blazing blue eyes. The eyes you had just stared into.
"Don't be that way, Chat Noir," the white cat purred, trying to rile up his rival. "I just wanted to look." The black cat growled slightly, his body going rigid. He gripped your shoulder roughly and shoved you behind him, as if to create a protective wall with himself.
"Chat Blanc," is all Chat Noir could sputter out, as he trembled slightly. With this the white cat smirked and stared deep within your very being.
"In the flesh."----------------
