4. Annoyance
"At the entrance, you are going to be accepted by the CEO of Greenwood Enterprises. You will have a forty-five-minute meeting with him and the vice president and later, they will give you a tour intheir environmental friendly power plant. Precisely at 2 o'clock, you will have lunch with the Minister of agriculture and at 5 in the afternoon, meeting with the syndicate of agriculture."
Hudson was standing next to the table inside the luminous casual dining room. The princess was listening carefully, mentally repeating her program. It would be another hellish day in the paradise of Redmond. The life she had imagined was really far from the reality. The obligations seemed endless, as she was attending stressful meetings from dusk till dawn.
"Excuse me, Mr. Hudson" the woman intervened, "but why don't you have breakfast with me?"
In front of her, there was a vast variety of beverages, fruit, pancakes, waffles and croissants, but she only picked a cup of tea with strawberry flavor. That array was really intimidating in her eyes.
"This food suffices for more than a hundred people. Where does it go?"
"Most of it is disposable. A smaller amount is distributed to the staff and their families."
The princess instantly frowned. That way of living didn't suit her at all. She was a subtle and normal person and that extravaganza was puzzling her. Moreover, the environment towards her was still hostile. The Redmonian press was posting articles frantically, criticizing her appearance, her dress code, and her introvert nature, always praising the future king, who was always absent.
"Enjoy your breakfast, my Lady. I have to see if his Highness is ready."
"No need for that. I'm ready, willing and able."
Simultaneously, quick, energetic steps were an indication that he was near. Soon, his figured appeared, imposing and confident at the same time. His voice was loud, crystal clear. He was wearing a dark gray suit, black tie and you could smell his cologne from across the room. Roselyn raised her head to greet him politely, unaware if the protocol wanted her to stand on her feet.
"Good morning, Hudson" he winked, tapping his assistant's arm and reached the table, without addressing anything to her.
"Good day to you, too, your Grace. With your permission, I have to get the cars ready. I will meet you at the entrance in ten minutes."
