"Arms up." I tell Lydia as we proceed with the training I said I'd help her with. "This way you can block attacks to your face and your head while always keeping your eyes on your enemy.
Ready?" She winces a bit, turning away from me. "It's all right. You're not going to be perfect after only a few tries."She turns back around, "I'm okay. Keep going."
"You sure?" I ask, "Maybe we should stop after a few."
"Why?" She asks.
"I don't want to get your stitches to get un-stitched." I joke.
"They're fine. See?" She unzips her jacket, slightly pulling down the waistband of her pants to show me her bandage. "No blood."
"I see." I smirk as my eyes start to wander. She was wearing a sports-bra underneath.
"Eyes up here." She puts her fingers up to her eyes.
"Ready when you are." I say before she goes to attack but I block her hits, pulling her back against my chest while supporting her arms. "What did you do wrong?" I ask into her ear.
"Uh I forgot to keep my arms up." She grunts from the pain as I hold her close.
I nod, "Right. But don't worry. Your muscles have memory. With enough practice, they'll remember for you."
She sighs, leaning her head back onto my shoulder as my arms stay around her body like a shield. She looks up at me, slightly turning. My arms mold back around her body as she leans in close, inching on her toes to meet my height. Her nose slightly brushes mines as I caress her cheek. It was almost as though the attraction and the tension was lingering between our bodies. I wanted to taste her lips so bad. But the moment was cut short when she started to clutch over and wince in pain.
"What's wrong? What is it?" I ask.
She inhales deeply, "Muscle memory."

"So, basically, we're looking for abnormal behavior?" Theo asks as we overlook the students on the school's balcony.
I nod, " Anyone acting a little off or a little weird."
"Isn't everyone a little weird in high school?" He asks.
"Yeah, good point." I chuckle.
He points out, "You remember Tracy went on a killing spree after reading that?"
"You think it's a bad idea?" I ask.
"I think Malia almost getting run down by a car could've been bad." He mentions. "Well, that's why you guys haven't finished it, right?"
"We're going to." I tell him.
"Scott, I came here hoping to find a pack. I wasn't planning on watching one fall apart." He tells me.
"The book's all we've got." I say.
He says, "Then I'll read it too."
Isaac
"My mom's book club usually has more wine." Lydia points out as the gang plus Theo, stand in front of Scott's coffee table covered with printouts of the book.
"Well, they also probably didn't read books that cause violent hallucinations." Stiles mentions.
"That's why Malia's here." Scott says.
"So none of us go running into traffic?" Kira says.
".. Or worse." I say.
"Like what happened to Judy." Malia says and we glance over at her with confusion, "Chapter 14."
