“Tessa!” she screamed, a little too loud. She needed to find out where she and Jace were right now. Tessa could search through her thoughts and track her. She just had to get Sebastian to tell her, and hopefully he would.

As if on cue, Sebastian walked in.

“Who’s Tessa?”

Clary dropped her head down.

“No one.”

Sebastian pushed it away like it was nothing.

“I wish that was my name you were screaming,” Sebastian smiled.

Clary scoffed. Then she remembered what she was supposed to ask.

“So, where am I exactly?”

Sebastian chuckled and crouched down next to her with his mouth right next to her ear. She felt his hot breath against her skin, sending shivers down her spine.

“Don’t get any ideas of escaping my girl. You’ll never escape this time. You will always be mine. As long as I’m here, you don’t need to know where you are.”

Clary felt Sebastian smile next to her. He started kissing up her neck, and sucked hard at her tender skin. She bit her cheeks preventing herself from letting Jace’s weak body hear what was happening. She forced herself away from him, which resulted with her lying sideways on the floor. He then proceeded to sit on top of her and leaning down to nibble her ear. She felt his parts digging into her sides. She quietly whimpered. He laughed, before finally getting off her and leaving the cell and shutting the door.

He stood outside the door and quickly turned back to look at Clary through the cell wall.

“Oh, and what I came here to tell you, was that you and Jace will be drinking from the infernal cup tomorrow. And have a nice sleep.” He smiled, before using his demonic speed to run away.

She shuddered at the idea. But what she was the most nervous for of all, was Jace becoming an infernal shadowhunter. He could take the whole world down in one go.

Not wishing to ponder on thoughts of the horrible future anymore, she fell right asleep, and hoped for good dreams.

Clary awoke with a gradually brightening golden light shining into her eyes, and she blinked her eyes open. She still felt the sleepiness trying to drag her back into the world of darkness. But as she looked up, she saw that there was no sunlight shining through, but instead the night sky stood in its place. Her eyes then focused on Jace, who’s skin was getting brighter and brighter by the second.

“Jace! Jace!” Clary screamed. She covered her eyes with her arm as the familiar light that radiated off him stung her eyes.

He started thrashing around and whimpering, and she could see from the corner of her eye that his wounds started closing up and that he was ripping off his bandages in pain. His body kept on getting brighter and brighter.

Clary squeezed her eyes shut, as trying to look through a radiating golden light was too hard.

“Heavenly fire…”
