Time to Give Up

New Student

Yandere-chan was sitting in her classroom, hands on her chin. She was quite bored. Her first period was Math and... she was sucks at it. All of the Math exams, she always got 80 or 70 marks or... lower. Well, not all the times. There was one time she got 90 marks and when she remembered how she got it... man, it was such a challenge! She only had five days to revive her Math lessons and that week was full of other exam: Chemistry, English and History! She didn't know how she managed to handle all of those exams, maybe she... stayed up late? Learn online? But she was proud of herself for going through that nightmare successfully.

Weird, her teacher should be at her class by now. Where was she? Was she sick? Was she busy for something? Or was she-

"Sorry for coming late, everyone!". Her thoughts were cut off when her teacher arrived, sweats ran down her face and neck, Yandere-chan could tell that she ran all the way upstairs to get to her class.

"We have a new student". Oh! Maybe she had to meet the student and came to class late? But... whatever. Why would Yandere-chan care about it? She had given up on killing people, so why would she care who was her new classmate?

"Everyone, say hi to Shulk Witwitcky." The teacher directed her hand toward the door. From there stepped in a handsome boy. He had smooch orange hair that matched his amber eyes, thin eyebrows, oval face and a beautiful smile. He was the charming prince in every girl's dream, but to Yandere-chan? Meh...

"Hello, I'm Shulk Witwitcky. Nice to meet you", his charming voice had made many girls in her class fell off reality.

"Ahhhh ~!", they sighed lovingly. Some put their hands on their forehead and chest.

"Watton, why don't you take that seat next to Melissa's?" The teacher pointed to the empty seat next to Yandere-chan.

"Yes, madam"

He walked closer to Yandere-chan and took a seat. Noticed that she "forgot" to say hi to him, he greeted her with a smile.

"Hey, what's your name beauty?"

'This is going to be a long day', she thought and let out a long sigh...

"Remember to do your homework!" Yandere-chan's teacher said at the end of the period.

Finally, break time! Yandere-chan stretched her arm, her Math class finally ended!

"OMG! Melissa-chan! Did you see how good-looking Shulk is? He's just like those anime guys!"

"Seriously!? Savannah, you have been talking about him during the break time non-stop!" Yandere-chan complained, she was pretty annoyed. Yeah... why not?

"Oh, sorry... hehe. Let's change subject, then." Savannah said with an embarrassing smile.

"I'm glad. I heard that-" .She was cut off by a boy.

"Hello girls! Oh! May I know your name, green-haired beauty?" Shulk smiled at Savannah.

"Ah! M- my name is Sa- Savannah Gibson, b- but you c- can call me Savannah!"

"Well, nice to meet you Savannah. I hope we can be good friends" He said and walked away.

Savannah froze.

"Uh... you okay?". No respond for Yandere-chan.

"Hello!? Earth to Savannah!" She said while waving her hand in front of her frozen friend.

After a few seconds, she finally woke up from fantasy.

"OMG! OMG! OMMMMMGGGGGGG! Melissa-chan! He just asked my name! He just ASKED MY NAME!"

"Urrrrggg! Not again!" Annoyed Yandere-chan mumbled.

"70% of our body is water" The teacher said, pointing at the board.

'Yeah yeah, I know that' Yandere-chan thought. She yawned.

Seeing this, Shulk spoke softly. "It looks like you aren't the type of person for Biology, correct?"

"Actually, I used to like Biology, but I don't anymore. It seems boring to me now."

"Well, if you try hard enough, you'll find it pretty interesting. I like it because it shows us everything about nature: how trees and plants grow, how animals survive, life circle of insects, how our body parts work... Biology is awesome!" He happily said.

Yandere-chan remained silent. She lied to him. She thought that Biology was pretty interesting too. The true reason she didn't like it was... it wasn't useful anymore. When she was still killing people, she liked it because it helped her discover where human's body had less blood, so she can stab people without them bleeding too much and she won't need to waste so much times to clean all the blood. But now she didn't kill anymore, she didn't need it any longer. She lied because she didn't want him to know her past, her old self.

"What's the matter? You seem a bit down. Did I say anything wrong?" Shulk stopped questioned, looking a little confused.

"No, just... feeling tired. That's all"

She lied again...

She knew she shouldn't, but she had to.

Sometimes, we have to lie... Right?
