true friend
A friend is what I asked for,
but what I got was so much more.
Oh how kind the universe is,
it gave me someone like you.
You were always there,
in good times and in bad.
You listened to my petty rants,
and tried to give me all my wants.
Thank you for all your efforts.
Staying up all night,
until I turn off my light.
Calling me on a lonely day,
and simply making sure I was okay.
I just want you to know that for me you are special,
A true treasured friend.
