CHAPTER ONE
I. DEAR ALTHEA .I

Dear Althea

Please tell me that I am not turning into James Potter. Please tell me that you're no Lily Evans and that I'm your James Potter. Why do I feel this way? Girls are supposed to be coming after me. Not the other way around.

But, maybe, it's not so bad.

S.B.

Sirius took a deep breath, unsure of how to take care of a situation he's never been in before. And, it didn't help that he was too embarrassed to ask for help. The usual pseudo confidence radiating was now like sunny to rainy.

Althea Rose was a new student that came to Hogwarts. A muggleborn, not found until a neighbor called Dumbledore after discovering her abilities a few years ago. She hadn't come until their last year, but spent the past few studying at home before she was ready to come. A sweet fifteen year-old, but not too special. She was not the smartest child yet a stunning one. And surprisingly, if you were pretty, that was all you were going to be labeled as.

Thoughts clouded his head and poured into the piece of parchment that sat in front of him. Every dotted 'i' held a piece of his heart, every crossed 't' was a wisp of his soul, and every curved 'o' a thread of his thoughts.

After finishing the letter, he held it up to his head level to stare at it. He furrowed his eyebrows and stared at it in anger and confusion. How the bloody hell did it happen? Maggie Downsturt had just screamed at him, calling him a "stupid oaf" for hurting and disrespecting all these girls' feelings by snagging around and now he had turned into a romantic Hafiz of Persia. Madness had plagued his thoughts, it had seemed.

He huffed impatiently and snatched the piece of paper before shoving it into his trunk. Sirius was glad that nobody was in the room with him. He sighed before sitting on the trunk and putting his head in his hands, wishing that sweet, captivating Althea Rose would leave his love-stricken mind.
