CHAPTER FOUR

I. DEAR BLONDE BEAUTY .I

Dear Realist,

You're realistic, Althea Rose. Something students and children of our age avoid in these dark days. Every mind of our generation is polluted in aspiration and conviction that steers clear of the Dark Lord and his followers.

We're in our seventh year. All of us expected of what's to come but dismissed the thought, subject, and idea of it; the idea of leaving the safest place in the wizarding world and protecting ourselves from the army that defies our laws and rules that was made to keep us safe.

Saying it aloud is beyond comparable than writing it on paper or hearing whispers of it in your head. Memories and spells are something that can scar and silence you but you were too strong to be afraid of it.

"What the bloody hell was that?" James barged through the door, Remus and Peter standing behind him, "Do you believe you love her or something?"

James furrowed his eyebrows in frustration and anger as he stared at Sirius while he awaited an answer. "Oh, Merlin," James groaned as he calculated the answer from the undeniable look in his eyes, "Sirius, I was joking. Don't be daft, you don't actually love her!"

"Maybe I do, James!" Sirius exclaimed as neither Remus nor Peter said a word.

"Sirius, you've known her for only a month! I wasn't sure that I loved Lily until fourth year." James took a deep breath and calmed, his eyes softened and showed that he didn't want his best friend lying to himself, "What you have is an obsession or infatuation with the lass."

Sirius was ready to let the words flow out of his mouth and defend himself before he thought about what James said. He stared blankly at the floor and thought about the letters and daydreams about her.

Maybe it wasn't real.
