When i heard those words, I felt a butterfly go through my stomach. I know it's not right for me too think this but, I was caught up in so much self obsession that I didn't realize how my father is going too feel, I never once thought about HIM. It was all about me. I quickly ran back to my room. Speechless. I had no words. I sat down in my bed and ran my hands through my hair.

I need to tell my dad. I shuffled through my pile of clothes until i found something good enough to wear just for a trip to the cafe across the street. I texted my dad and invited him too brunch, I know the place across the street has half off if there's over one person eating at this time. I grabbed my wallet after throwing my baggy white shirt over my head, and pulling my hair into a pony tail while trying to make my jean shorts fit over my big thighs.

After sitting silent in the car with my dad. I spoke up.

"Hey pops?"

"Yes" He said with a brightening smile on his glorified face. His cheeks red from the diabetics he has and the gap between his two front teeth showing prominently.

"Nevermind we will talk later"

My dad is not the one too argue so he continues driving us. I didn't want too ruin his meal. At this point i was texting Luke, making sure i wasn't telling my father false information. All I got out of Luke was that he is sure his mother is cheating.

We pulled into the cafe as this car ride was only a few minutes long, I hopped out of the car, feeling sort of underdressed. I shrugged it off and continue my way to the cafe.

- After The Meal -

"Hey so um the reason i brought you here.." I spoke up, making my dads head bob up from the attention he was giving his phone.

"Ah yes. I knew there was something. Money? Is that what you need ,Katie?"

I laughed nervously , "No dad, It's about the new marriage thing."

"Yes babydoll, what about it?" he smiled assuming i was going too say something positive.

"Luke told me something. I don't want you too freak out." His face turned into a worried expression.

"Oh, Um. Okay Katie, tell me."

"Well. All I know is Gina," I stopped feeling a huge weight on my chest.

"Katie. Get on with it" He moved his hand gesturing for me to continue.

"All i know is, Gina's not loyal." I felt the weight lifted off of my chest until i heard,

"This has got to be some kind of joke." He said in an evil - ish tone.

I said nothing.

He started to scream.

"I KNOW YOU AND LUKE HAVE BEEN MESSING AROUND KATIE I'M NOT FUCKING STUPID. YOU THINK YOU'RE SLICK. IF THIS IS SOME KIND OF SICK PRANK TO MAKE ME BREAKUP WITH GINA. IT'S NOT WORKING." The whole restaurant turned their attentions too my livid father on the urge of tears.

As soon i was about to open my mouth, I heard a buzz come from my phone, I glanced down at my lap and read a text from Luke that read,

"Katie, Don't say anything, I made a huge mistake by telling you this. Please call me. ASAP. I'm so sorry."

My heart dropped into my stomach..
