Chapter 24: Location Searching

We had to meet Keri at the agency so we could go location searching.

Ash got in the car and started it while I buckled Maria in to her car seat.

I got in the passenger seat and Ash backed out of the driveway.

"I just realized if we do indeed get married this September, Maria will be a year old." I told Ash.

"Wow, she will, this time has gone by so fast" He said pulling out into traffic.

"yep, soon she'll be all grown up and facing the real world." I said, tears coming to my eyes. Ash noticed.

"Aww, it's ok baby" He said, patting my shoulder.

"I know, it's just,its just, they grow up to fast" I said, tears flowing.

"Awww, I know, I know. That's why you have to make every moment count" Ash said, finding a parking space.

"I know" I said, wiping my tears.

We walked in the agency with Maria in my arms.

"Hi, how may I help you" The lady at the front said,

"Were here to see Keri" I said to her.

"Ok, I'll let her know your here" She said picking up a microphone.

"Keri, please come to the front, you have some customers, Keri, please come to the front" She said into the mic and it came out over the loud speaker.

About 2 minutes later Keri came up to us with her binder and keys.

"So, you guys ready to go" She asked us.

"Yep" I said, smiling.

"Ok then" She said, heading out the door.

She got in her van and we got in our car.

We drove around, following her until we got to Alamitos Beach.

We stepped out and I immadentley knew I didn't want it here.

"So, do you wanna look around?"

"Sure" I said, disgusted.

"Ok" She said and we walked along the shore.

When we got back she asked

"So, how do you like it"

"I don't" I said, scrunching up my face.

"It's-it's to crowded, there like are to many houses around" I said looking around.

"Ok then, we can keep looking" She said hopping back in her van.

We followed her to another beach.

"This is Marine Beach" She said, getting out of her van.

"I still think it's to crowded but lets look around" I said to her.

"Alright" She said as we started to walk down the beach.

"Ash, can you hold Maria" I asked, handing Maria to him.

"Yea" He said taking Maria from my arms.

"So, what do you think about this place Ash" I asked him.

"Whatever you want" He said kissing Maria's head.

"ok, I don't like this one"

"Then lets go to a different one" She said hopping into her van.

When we parked we found Venice Beach.

"ooooh I like this one" I said looking around.

"So do I" Ash said, agreeing with me.

"ok lets look around a little bit" Keri said, walking down the beach.

She pointed to a big building and said

"That is the Venice Beach Hotel. There are resturaunts a short, walking distance from it and its right in between the Venice Pier and the Santa Monica Pier" She said, pointing every which way.

"oohhh that's really convinent" I said looking around some more,

"I agree" Ashley said, looking fascinated.

"Can we take a look at the hotel" I asked.

"Sure" She said, walking in the direction of the hotel.

"hi, I was wondering if we could check out one of your rooms" She asked the person at the front desk.

"Umm sure" She said, turning around to find a key and then walking out from behind the desk.

She put up a sign that said Be Back In A Minute and walked to the elevator.

We followed her to the 4th floor and she opened a door for us.

"here is one of our finest rooms" She said, letting us in.

"ooooh" I said stepping in and glancing around.

I sat down on the bed and bounced on it a little.

"ooooh, I like this." I said laying down on the bed.

"Ash come check this out" I said, taking Maria from Ash's arms.

He did the same thing I did.

"ooooh I like this to" He said, obviously fasinated.

"I think we'll choose Venice Beach" I told Keri.

"great" She said, heading out of the room.

I started out of the room after her until I realized Ash was still on the bed.

"Ash, come on" I said.

"Hold on" He said obviously relaxed.

"No, NOW" I said pulling him out the door.

"Fineee" Ash said, making me release my grip from his wrist.

We met Keri back at the beach.

"Well, we have a location picked out" She said really happy.

"Yep" I said beaming. "Thanks, you have been so much help so far" I told her.

"No problem, it's my job" She said, sliding into her van.

"Bye" I said slipping into my car.

"Bye" She said driving off.

We were making good progress.
