"I hate the ones who love to hate because they're just like me.
I'd prefer the ones that are involved in the worlds beauty,
And the only way I'd ever see beyond my own monstrosity
Is if someone saw the flowers and picked them just for me.
I'm fine when people ask, and I'm good when my parents call.
I've got good friends who make sure I don't break when I fall,
But still I'm confused and I've faltered just a few times,
And I won't admit I'm not okay so I'll never go beyond those few lines.
I hate the people who love to hate because they're just like me.
If I ever met myself I'd want to hide from what I'd see.
I like to go fast on the roads even though I should slow down
But all around is high speed low drag
I feel I'm the only one on the ground."When surrounded by the flying, the one in the nest yearns,
And may not quite understand that it is not his turn.
Or maybe you're a fox that admires all the birds
The one that climbs to tree tops to be close to what he yearns.
His bright red fur is undesirable compared to feathers that he'll see.
He wants have and transform into what he can never be.
I just want to know you're okay and better than last,
But I wish you wouldn't shut down every time I asked.
A stubborn little turtle that will hide inside his shell,
and pretend the hard exterior does not conceal a hell.
Crawl inside your mind and shred your hope.
Your thoughts corrupt but you say it's how you cope.
I wish you wouldn't hurt yourself in such a movement,
But I know you just feel that it's self-improvement.
All I want is for you to be happy.
I love the ones who love you because they're just like me.
