Because if you actually paid attention
you'd notice all the facts
and all of the dirty looks
and all of the secrets shared.
If you actually watch how people interacted
you'd realize that he loves her
and she doesn't sleep at night
and they can't be around each other.
Or if you took a step back
you'd see he doesn't call his mom back
and she doesn't see her dad
and how they try to hide themselves.
Because if you actually paid attention
you'd realize nobody is happy
and nobody is perfect
and everybody lies about one thing or another.
but you'll see that everyone
has one person they connect with,
at least a little bit more
than anybody else -
