Hannah's pov

I just couldn't believe my eyes at the sunrise it was so amazing I blinked rapidly at Adriel when he was walking ahead of us

All of us started walking and I scanned the beach for a vacant place. I eventually found a place and told the others. We started to place the mat on the sand along with our food and bags. It looked nice and we sat down (duh!). I gazed at the sky colliding with variety of colors and Denise was doing the same thing. I stared at it with awe

"Isn't it beautiful?" Denise and I asked simultaneously

"Yes like you" Adriel and Paul said in sync

I shoved Paul lightly so did Denise.  I shook my head before talking. "Cliché much" Denise and I said at the same time again. I looked at Denise and she did the same actions. We laughed together

I felt my eyes widen a bit. "This is so..." I couldn't find words to describe it. "Beautiful" Denise finished it off

"Yeah!" Adriel said

A few seconds later. There was silence not like an awkward silence but a peaceful silence. The breeze hits my face and the sounds of the waves crashing sounds...peaceful? Yeah...peaceful.

Denise's eyes were closed and she was breathing slowly. Why are her eyes closed?

Maybe she wants peace and quiet. Duh!

Okay I was just asking...

You know for an A+ student you're pretty dumb...

I shook out my thoughts. I can't believe I just had an argument with myself. I'm going to ask anyway.

What if you're going to bring up a touchy subject?

I ignored the voice and just screwed. "Denise" I said

"Mm..." She responded

"Why are you closing your eyes?" I asked her

Denise took a while to answer and opened her eyes. "When I moved here, I left friends and family. Whenever my friends and I go to the beach we always close our eyes and talk about life. I promised to them that when I move here and go to any beach I would close my eyes and think about life" she said while her eyes get glossy
