Wings [Vikklan]

|Chapter 4|

All I wanted to do was be with Vik, I saw him in the hallway twice and he smiled and waved to me,

Everytime I look at him my heart flutters, and so do my wings but I hold them down,

I walked into my last class of the day Maths, great fun...

The only reason this class was half decent was because it was one of the only classes I had with Rob,

Of course our timetables were basically the opposite from each other,

I slid the monster of a school bag onto the floor and sat at my table which was next to Rob's,

"Lachy!"

Rob whispered under his breath,

"Yep what up?"

I questioned,

"Did you hear the rumour?"

"No?"

"You know your 'problem' well apparently the local hospital just had another child born with your same 'problem'."

"Poor kid."

"Yeah I know right, you got depressed from this stuff."

"I hope they will be okay."

"I'm sure they will Lachy."

"LACHLAN, ROBERT DO YOU MIND SHARING YOUR LITTLE CONVERSATION TO THE CLASS?!"

"No sorry Miss."

I apologised,

"You better be sorry."

I looked down toward my book and then toward Rob, as he mouthed the word 'sorry',

I shrugged and rolled my eyes,

It was more fun then this class anyways,

I quickly copied down the information about different terms that was on the board,

As on que the bell rang signalling the day's end I shove my book into my bag and slung it over my shoulder, my shoulders crunching forward,

"You good Lachy?"

"Yeah just a little back pain."

He nodded getting where I was coming from,

We both walked out the door thanking the teacher for doing nothing,

I walked down the stairs and out the back gate to wait for the bus,

This day is finally over,

I jumped on the bus and later got off at my stop,

Walking in the door saying a quick hi to my mum and slumping upstairs,

I walked into my room and closed the door chucking my bag onto the floor and undoing the belt and taking my shirt off,

"UGHHHHH"

Relief of not having a stuffy shirt on came over me as I fell face first into my pillow,

A little rest wouldn't hurt?

Would it?
