Wings [Vikklan]

|Chapter 13|

I fidgeted in place, trying to make my wings comfortable in the attire I was wearing, I pulled my hair back trying to achieve a decent style,

I shrugged and gave up as the wind was picking up and made it fly in different directions,

I continued to walk down the populated street, kicking a stone every now and then.

I stopped outside a fancy restaurant, I looked on I awe as I saw Vik sitting at a fine dressed table, covered by a white cloth,

He looked at me as our eyes met and I stepped inside of the restaurant, slowly approaching the table keeping eye contact with the brown eyed boy,

I stopped at the table blinking a few times before pulling out the chair and sitting down, he smiled sweetly in my direction.

The faintest blush crawling onto his face as he stared at me,

"So...how's life?" He looked at me interested as he leaned his hands on the table,

"Good, I guess." I shrugged, leaning forward so that I'm not hurting my wings,

He looked set an at his lap this is awkward, he looked uncertain but stared into my eyes,

"Um have you been watching the news?" He asked formally, as he stared deeper into my eyes,

"Which story are we talking about here?" I laughed it off as I had a thought Please don't let me be right.

"You know the one with the winged baby?" He looked at me in a lighthearted matter,

As I started to choke on the air around me coughing several times, God dammit brain.

"Oh yeah, that one." I stared blankly into space,

"Did you know the family?" He questioned,

I shook my head, making it so my fear was out of mind, Nobody else can know.

The waiter came over and brought out some entrées,

"I hope you don't mind I ordered a bit before you got here." Vik spoke as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"That's all good, Thanks Vik." I smiled lightly in his direction, as his blush increased across his cheeks,

He's so adorable.

"Thank you so much for tonight Vik, it was amazing." I spoke as we stopped near a park bench,

I turned to start heading home when I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder, I turned back around to be met by the one and only Vik.

He pushed down on my shoulder as I was forced onto his eye level,

His breathing slowed as he looked at me and my lips were met by his as he pushed forward connecting our lips,

Pure bliss ran through my system as my wings urged to open, I calmed myself down and started kissing back passionately,

A minute later Vik pulled away and stared at me in happiness,

"I don't really know how to say this Lachlan Power, but I think I'm falling in love with you." He stared into my light blue orbs as I flashed a smile,

"I think I'm falling in love with you too." I said calmly as I sat down on the bench soon followed by Vik as he leant his head on my shoulder,

Myself being careful not to let him touch my chest or back, we looked up at the star filled sky,

As I was almost drifting off to sleep I heard Vik mutter something,

"I wonder what it would be like to have wings."
