|Chapter 12|

I sat awkwardly tapping my fingernails on the desk, awaiting for the bell to take me out of this awkwardness I had going for me,

I looked over towards Vik to find him drawing in the back of his book, his strokes were long but lightly drawn into the paper,

He looked up towards me and smiled lightly, his dark brown orbs staring back into mine,

He ripped out the page and handed it to me,

"For my hero." He laughed lightly as I took the paper my eyes widened as I stared at the artwork, it was of me?

It looked so realistic, and so professional.

"Thanks." I mumbled to him, honestly that's just adorable. I felt my cheeks heating up and I looked back to the board,

"Hey um..Lachlan." I turned back to Vik, my cheeks still a faint red,

"Yeah..." I answered nervously,

"I was wondering if you know, um..., you wanted to maybe go get some dinner or lunch or even breakfast. I really don't care, together?" My eyes widened is he asking me out?,

"Um sure, when?" I answered and his eyes lit up like fireworks,

"Tonight? I mean like if your free that is....or we could do it another night or..." He stuttered out,

"Tonight then." I smiled in his direction,

"It's a date. Wait no..it's a dinner." He stuttered out, looking away nervously,

I smiled and looked back up to the teacher, as the bell rang.

I stood up and picked up my things from the desk, and smiled in Vik's direction to find he was staring at me, I laughed lightly cocking my head in his direction,

I walked out the door and down the hallway,

Tonight's gonna be fun.

*Time Skip to the night*

I grabbed a red sweater and a overcoat to wear, wrapping my wings around my torso and pulling on a shirt and then the sweater,

I pulled my phone out of my jean pocket 6:23. Perfect. I smiled to myself, looking at my reflection in the mirror,

I grabbed the coat and my house keys and ran down the stairs, to be met by my mum,

"Aw you look so cute, have fun would ya? Brighten up!" She pulled me into a hug, being careful to grab around my neck, I pulled away slowly,

"I'll have fun, don't you worry." I laughed again as I walked towards the door and down the street,

God sometimes I wish I had a car.
