A couple of months passed by and it was now summer. West and I were going to be in our freshmen year of high school. Nothing has changed between West and I. Nothing's happened. Nothing's happened because ever since he kissed me, somethings going on.

I have to admit. I've had a crush on West since I first saw him. Now, I actually had my first kiss with him. He's hiding something from me, though. And I need to get it out of him.

That day o was at West's house. I was sitting at the barstool in his kitchen with him.

"Can I ask you something?" I wrote down on the notebook that we always used.

"Sure." He wrote.

"You've been acting, different, ever since we, uh, you..."

"Ever since I kissed you?"

"Yeah. Did I do anything?" I wrote.

"It's nothing, really."

"C'mon. You can tell me."

"Really it's nothing." He wrote.

"West, I know you inside out. Tell me or I'll steal your food."

"NOO! NOT THE FOOD!" He wrote In all caps.

Then he looked up at me and my eyebrows were raised. We did this for a couple of seconds, then he finally wrote, "Fine."

"Yay!"

"I'm getting surgery."

There was a couple seconds of a pause between us. Then I finally wrote, "What?"

"I'm getting surgery to be able to hear again. I'm also going to learn how to walk again."

"When are you getting the surgery and why?" I kept on asking questions.

"I'm getting it in three weeks. And all the stories you've told me about your friends, I want to experience that. So, after this summer, I'm going to your school."

My eyes were wide at this point. Instead of writing, I just hugged him. This was one of the happiest moments of my life.

"I'm so happy for you. But you would do this all to be with me?" I wrote.

There was a pause between us once again. Then West pulled out a paper in his back pocket that said,

"Luna Heart, I'm falling for you."
