It had just fond out the news two days ago. West was getting surgery, and he was falling for me. I didn't know what to do or what to say. So I was just silent. Then he changed the subject.
But there was a problem.
I was falling for West, also.
It's silly. Very silly, though. West and I are friends. We're only friends. And that the way it's going to be.
I don't want anything to change between us. Now he's going to get this stupid surgery that's going to change our friendship and the way we do things, probably forever.
He's going to be able to walk, talk, hear, and have his life back again. But, what if he wants his old life back. The life when I wasn't there yet. The life without me.
I thought of this all day, and right now I was scanning books in our pubic library. Because 'you have to keep feeding yourself that brain food'.
Then I pulled out a book, 'The Fault In Our Stars'. I remembered what West told me about this book. How he surprisingly liked it.
I sighed and whispered, "I wish I had my own Augustus Waters."
I scanned the book. I looked at the back and front like it had something very important in it.
"Hey." Someone said in a Irish accent.
"AHHH!" I yelled and jumped up while dropping the book.
"Shh." Everyone said and looked at me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." The same person whispered. It was a boy. He had light brown hair and bright blue eyes. He was very, very, attractive. But, of course, I didn't tell him that.
"Oh, it's okay, are you trying to get a book?" I asked quietly and picked up my book.
"Oh, no. I just saw that you have this book," he said while putting his finger on the book, "Have you read it before?"
"Yes, many times actually, what's your name?" I asked.
"Liam. Yours?"
"Luna. Luna Heart." I said and we shook hands.
"Would you mind if I would like to ask you to hang out sometime?" He asked me.
"Sure," I said and handed my phone, "just put your number in"
He had a cute smirk one his face and put in his digits. He walked away as I turned around and smiled to myself. I texted Ariel and Melody what had just happened and screamed inside.
