"Are you awake?" I heard a voice that sounded very farmilar, but I tried to see who it was but my eyes were too blurry. I then rubbed my eyes and could see again. But I couldn't remember when I got in the hospital.
"are you okay" said my mom, who was the person talking me before.
"Yeah," I said. "But I can't remember anything before me slipping in the mud." I looked down at my arm. It hurt really bad. It was in a cast, but I could tell it was cut.
"Well a nurse will be in here soon to ask you a few questions, okay sweetie?" My mom said while rubbing some dirt off my face.
"Okay mom, and stop treating me like a baby."
"Fine" my mom said. Just then, an old lady walked in. She smelled old. She has the worst perfume ever. And the worst part is, she looked like she just walked out of the 60's!
"nice perfume" I said sarcastially. My mom gave me one of her stern looks, which is usally when she want's me to stop.
"Sorry," I said.
"Hello, I'm your nurse today" Said the old lady. Her voice sounded really raspy. "My name is Nurse Helen Yolder, call me Nurse Yolder."
"Okay."
"Open wide" said Nurse Yolder.
"aahhhh" I opened my mouth wide. She looked down my throat. She moved my hair out of the way of my ears and looked in my ears.
"okay, veronica is it?"said nurse Yolder.
"Yeah."
"Do you remember anything before you fell."
"Yeah"
"great, what"
"Well, I was dialing my best friend izzy's phone number when I slipped and fell in the mud. Then I hit my head on the brick."I said.
"That's it?" Said nurse Yolder.
"Yeah" I said.
"I will be back again later." Said Nurse Yolder.
"Okay" my mom and I both said at the same time. Nurse Yolder walked out.
"Get some rest sweetheart" my mom said.
"okay mom" As I lie there in the hospital bed I started drifting into sleep.
