Reason for dedication: For making another amazing cover.
Yay! It's holiday vacation for me now, so I have been able to finally sleep and write to my heart's content! So here's the next chapter of Unwelcome Musician, and sorry if it's not moving fast enough...it's hard sticking to a single POV. But on the other hand, I never have to worry about thinking of something through someone else's eyes, right?
The picture is of William Moseley who will be playing Alex Gravestone.
Enjoy! :p

Chapter 2: Drunk Sounds
Song: Lady Antebellum- Need You Now
~Friday~
When we got to the club, I followed Alex as he hastily made his way over to the long line to get into the club. I reluctantly followed him and listened, due to no other choice from standing next to him, to him go on and on about how this was the best place to meet a hot girl or two that would be okay with a hook-up for the night.
“So I was there, right? And then this girl named Lesley with this smoking body comes over to me and...” Alex kept on rambling about his encounters with a girl that he met here last week.
It seemed as if the line wasn't moving fast enough since Alex was still talking about some girl named Maria now and had moved on from Lesley, a girl named Tamara, and another named Isabel entirely. I smiled slightly at realizing how many girls Alex actually went through in just a week.
“You do remember that I'm gay without a doubt, right? Because I find everything that you're saying to be extremely boring...no offense,” I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
“Yeah, I know, but you're my best friend, dude, who else am I supposed to talk to about my amazingly hot hook-ups?” Alex was acting as this was as important of a matter as world hunger.
“Someone who is straight would be a nice start,” I snapped as I pulled out my ID and showed it to the bouncer.
“Well, someone is clearly an upset little boy; what's up?” Alex asked as we made our way over to the bar and took our seats.
“Nothing really,” I began, and then realized that there was something bothering me: the dream that had earlier where that mystery guy was in the audience and made me feel something that I've never even been close to feeling before: love at first sight. Now, while I believed completely in true love, I never believed in love at first sight, and even if that could happen, I'd imagined that it would be the other way around; a really cute guy would have a crush on me, not me having a crush on some guy that was in my dream only one time. That was just plain weird.... “Well, okay, there is something on my mind.”
“I thought so,” Alex mumbled as he took a swig of beer. “So tell me what's got you down, bud,”
I sighed and stared at my unopened beer bottle. “I guess you can say that I had a dream that wasn't exactly what I thought it was at first,” I fiddled with a button on my shirt as I contemplated how much to tell him. “You see, I had this amazing dream: I was on a huge stage and I was singing to the packed audience, and they loved every second of it. But when I actually looked out into the audience, I saw this guy in the front row and literally, my breath was taken away, not to sound cliché or anything. I don't know what came over me, but I felt as if I was only singing to him and he was the only person that I wanted to like the song; not Frank, not any critic, not myself, not even the rest of the audience. Only him.”
