Me and Stas could have stayed and talked for hours more if she didn't have to leave so soon. But for the past hour I've tried to put the thought of the lump on my side to the back of my mind, but in all honesty I just can't seem to.
By now it was at least midnight and I could barely keep my eyes open.
But I heard Nash on the phone from downstairs.
"Ya mom the colleges here are great I've looked at a few already."
"Ok love you too and say hi to Everyone for me." And with that he seemed to have hung up the phone and huffed.
What's his family gonna do when they find out he's not in Seattle to look at schools?
I sat on the bed that we shared and stared up at the ceiling. My thoughts shifted towards sleep as my eyes shut to darkness.I think I'm gonna like Seattle.
~
I shifted to my side and hit a rock hard figure. I flinched instinctively but my mind went to ease when I came to realization that it was Nash. His back faced towards me as he was turned to the wall near the bed. I tossed myself the opposite way of him until I felt him flip against me. He groaned as he stretched up and hit the head bored causing him to shuffle in the sheets. I checked the alarm clock that flashed red lights labeling '3:27 am' in block lettered font.
The last thing I wanted to be right now is awake and look where I am.
I felt him shift on my side in his sleep.
"Fuck." I sounded under my breath just as he hit the swollen bump on my hip.
"Good you're awake." He said with a warm sense in his voice.
This isn't the time where I necessarily wanted to continue a conversation. I wanted to sleep.
I turned to look into his eyes being careful not hurt my side. I didn't say a word but his eyes could speak for hours. I smiled directly to him but I soundly fell asleep to the dull sound of the dreadful alarm clock to my side.~
Soon enough my eyes filled with threatening sun light. My head hurt from lack of sleep but my side hurt more.
Without waking Nash, I threw the covers over my legs and walked to the bathroom. The lump grew but the swelling went down along with the bruising and redness.
Ok so it was most likely just a bruise.
I put the thoughts in the back of my head once I heard Nash nocking on the back of the door.
"Stas is coming over in a few hours she said she wants to talk to you." He told me from behind The locked door.
I came out and saw him with the worn down drawing pad that I kept in my bag as he sat on the rim of the bed.
"Nash!"
He didn't even bother to look up at me, it was as if his eyes were glued to my brothers drawings.
"Are these yours?"
He asked still referring to the sketch pad.
I smiled as I sat next to him and looked through them with him.
"No...my brothers..." I said faintly yet still smiling at his work.
"He was crazy talented." He was quick to say, smiling as he flipped through the bent pages.
His eyes grew bigger at the talented works but he then came to multiple blank pages.
"Why are the rest blank?" He asked.
"He didn't get to finish... Those were his last few." I said with tears trimming the rim of my eyes. He smiled at me and leaned his head on my shoulder. He set the book on the night stand and took me downstairs to greet Sam.
I saw Stas and Sam sitting at the table making small talk until Nash interrupted."I'll be out for the day..." He said suspiciously.
"Any word on your dad?"
His eyes almost shot directly at me.
"Not yet..."
He seemed to be determined but he was drowning in his thoughts.
I felt bad because he seemed hopeless.
I went to say something to him but before I was able to he was already out the door.||end of part five||
