Mikey's POV

I was falling.

Through water.

Sinking.

I tried opening my eyes, but it wouldn't work.

I couldn't control my body.

Or worse off, I couldn't control myself.

Help, I thought.

But no help came.

Open! I thought, trying to force my eyes open.

I started to panic.

What do I do?

What can I do?

OPEN! I yell-thought.

And miraculously, my eyes opened.

The water wasn't right.

It felt icky.

It felt wrong.

I didn't know what to do.

Why was I even in water?

Then, I realized this was probably part of the test, so I did the one thing I did best.

I froze everything.

Even myself.

I could breathe in ice.

It was part of my powers.

It made me feel safe.

Up, I thought.

The only way out of water was up right?

UP!

And I blasted.

The ice pushed me up, with me in an enclosed space, keeping me safe.

I broke surface.

But I kept going.

I blasted.

Up, up, UP! I thought.

And up I went.

Melody's POV

I woke up in bright light, coughing and spluttering.

What happened? I thought.

I saw a worried face above me.

It was a man's face.

He had ocean blue eyes and a long white beard.

"Why the heck are you trying to kill yourself?" he said.

He had the same voice as the man that was speaking before.

I smiled slightly, before coughing again.

"I *Cough* knew you'd *cough* save me," I replied.

He gaped at me.

"Well of course I'd save you! I want you to be my champion! But you have to pass the test first!" he exclaimed.

I stared at him, my coughing fit finally ending.

He blinked.

I did too.

Then, I exploded, "What the heck are you talking about?! The test was for me to find you! And well... let me see... I FOUND YOU!"
