Oh my gods, I am so sorry. I was so busy, I completely spaced and forgot about last week's update. Hahaha so sorry don't kill me!

The living quarters were actually more homely than Mitch had expected. The floor was separated about halfway by a wall that opened up into a hallway in the center. Down the hallway, Mitch could see several white doors, most likely leading to bedrooms. The walls were a light blue - in contrast to everything else they had encountered in the Nether - and the carpet was a nice white color, soft, and made the floor look like it was covered in fresh snow.

To the left, a large kitchen was pushed against the corner, separate from the rest of the room by a gleaming black counter. Pans hung from a ceiling rack, and wooden spoons spiraled down above the stove on a hooked holder. Bar stools of an assortment of different neon colors rested on the open side of the obsidian counter, under a stained glass light.

In front of the kitchen, a living room area sprawled out in vibrant colors. The sofa and loveseat were sea-green, and the coffee table was made of obsidian, sprinkled with what looked like gems off all colors. An assortment of glowing rocks hung from the roof by silver wires, illuminating the room. A stereo was pushed against the wall, and was playing quiet, soothing music in a language that Mitch didn't recognize.

On the other side of the room, across from the living room, was a dining table with rainbow colored chairs. In an abstract ruby vase, colorful flowers - Mitch recognized them as blue Forget Me Not's and skeletal Physalis alkekengi - made of pure crystal bloomed.

In the last corner of the room, several easels created a rough circle. Some were covered with paint-splattered sheets, but all held canvases. The floor in this area was blackened pine wood, like the kind that surrounded outside. A wall-to-floor shelving unit was filled with paints of all kind, along with every kind of art supply that Mitch could think of. The entire corner was covered with paint splotches and some looked recent.

"Eliza! Moysis! You awake?" Mars called, striding into the room. A loud howl boomed from the hallway and a big black shadow bounded down the corridor. Before any of us could react, the figure leapt and tackled the king to the ground.

"Arf!" the shadow exclaimed. Mitch realized it was a dog. A really dark colored, size-of-a-couch dog. It slobbered all over Mars' hands, who was laughing and trying to push the giant black Labrador off of him. Down the hallway, a door flew open with such force that it banged against the wall and bounced back shut, smashing in the face of whoever had opened it. Everyone cringed. It was silent for a moment, before the door flew open again - without as much force - and a redhead girl bounced towards them.

"Marlee!" She shouted. She was a pale red-head with freckles everywhere. She wore a rainbow dress. Patches of different colored fabric was professionally sewn together vertically. The fabric came together around her neck, like a sleeveless turtleneck, and the back was open. Her fire-colored hair was braided in a loose braid that flopped on her shoulder. The oddest thing about her was that she was covered with tattoos. Up her arms, neck, chest, and even the parts of her feet they could see, where covered in tattoos. Some were swirling black lines, some were people, some were symbols. However, the only place without tattoos was her face, where only four tattoos, small black triangles, in which two hung under her lips like fangs and two rested under her eyes. Her nose and forehead were bright red, no doubt from the door.

The girl leapt up and down, clapping her hands like a happy child. "Marlee! Marlee! Oh, it's been so long!" She exclaimed. She offered the vampire king a hand and helped him off the floor when she suddenly jumped as if she had been startled by a loud noise. She turned to the others, as if noticing them for the first time. "Oh my, what do we have here? Such interesting pasts, and exciting futures! Lovely!" Her almost neon green eyes pierced into Mitch, almost as if she was looking through him. "Oh dear," she said, her voice dropping a few octaves. Mitch felt uncomfortable under her
gaze. Her excitement shimmered down, and her smile turned slightly sad. "We have much to talk about."
