Chapter 2

Camila started walking to her third class of the day, just one more class until she can see her new friend Ally again.

She quickly walked in the classroom and the whiteboard said "Welcome Students! Take a seat anywhere!"

Camila saw only a few students in the classroom so she sat in the front of the class. History was her worst subject she wanted to be in the front to stay as focused as possible.

The thing is even though they didn't do anything in the first day of school she couldn't stay focused. All she could think about was the way Lauren was staring at her. Why did she get nervous when thinking about Lauren?

"Did Lauren maybe like her like her? Probably not, probably just being friendly." she thought to herself.

The bell rang and she quickly picked up her bag and shuffled to room 15 to see Ally.

Thankfully, Ally was already in the classroom and saved a seat for Camila in the back. Ally waved for Camila to come sit next to her, and she did.

Mrs. Donavan finished her introduction and dismissed the class when the lunch bell rang.

Ally guided Camila to the Cafeteria to get their food. Ally told Camila that her and her friends usually meet by the football field benches because it's more private and quiet than the cafeteria.

"They're really good people, I think you'll like them!" Ally assured Camila with a big smile.

"Thank you for this Ally, I thought I would eat lunch in the bathroom by myself," Camila muttered.

"Oh, no problem girl! I... Oh look there they are!" Ally said cheerfully.

When they made it to the lunch table Ally introduced Camila and said "Ladies, this is Karla Camila Cabello. She's new and she's going to be eating lunch with us from now on."

Camila kept her head down and said "Hi I'm Camila," and sat down next to Ally.

When Camila looked up she noticed the girl with the green eyes was sitting directly in front of her. There were two other girls to the left of Lauren. One dark skinned girl and one who was tall and a light brown tanish color.

"Normani," the dark skinned girl said "but you can call me Mani," she smiled.

"I'm Dinah Jane," the other girl said "but Dinah works too" she said with a slightly smaller smile.

"Hello," Camila nodded and smiled toward them.

"Hey Camz," the girl with green eyes said and gave a cheeky grin "nice to see you again,"

"You two know each other, Lo?" Dinah commented.

"We met in Taylor's class," Lauren replied with the same smirk.

"Oh! so you're a smarty pants like Lo!" Normani questioned with wide eyes.

"I-I guess" Camila stuttered shyly.

"You don't need to be nervous Camz, we don't bite... hard," Lauren winked.

"Alright, let's not make her uncomfortable guys," Ally continued "So, Mila why did you switch schools?"

"My parents thought that this school would be better for my education rather than a public high school" Camila answered.

"That's actually pretty reasonable," Dinah said "Hey Lo, did you hear that your ex got kicked out of the school on the last day of junior year?"

"Yeah, I did actually. Thank god, I think she was stalking me because every time I turned around she was there. It was kind of freaking me out and I don't get freaked out easily," Lauren replied.

"Sorry, to interrupt but did you just say she?" Camila questioned directing it toward Lauren.

"Yes I did, is that a problem or something?" Lauren answered questioningly.

"Not at all, that's cool that you're open about it," Camila said.

"Yeah, I guess it is kind of cool that I'm comfortable with myself. I am actually bisexual meaning I like both girls and guys," Lauren said to Camila.

"Oh that's cool actually," Camila said.

"Yeah I guess so haha," Lauren said.

"Okay now that you two are all buddy buddy I'm going to go pee, anyone wanna come with me?" Normani stated.

"Yeah sure I'll go," Dinah said standing up.

"Okay yeah I'll go too," Ally said also beginning to stand.

Camila was about to say something when Lauren cut her off "I guess it's just you and me staying here Camz,"

Camila blushed and just smiled down at her hands under the table. Ally, Normani, and Dinah went inside the school to use the bathroom.

Lauren noticed Camila was still blushing and looking down. Then she stood up and walked around the table and sat next to Camila.

Camila's heart started pounding as Lauren sat down next to her. She felt Lauren's green orbs staring at her.

"Camz ... do I make you nervous?" Lauren asked slowly scooting toward Camila.

"A-a little bit," Camila replied halfway telling the truth. The truth is Lauren actually made her very nervous.
