Metal Arc

Chapter 1:A New Venture
One sunny day on West Side Island,there was a round, Egg Shaped genius scientist was capturing poor, innocent creatures(known as Flickies), to turn them into mechanical killing machines.Midway through this process...He got an idea.
"Yes...YES!This is genius!",He said vainly,"I'll create the ultimate creation!One that not even Sonic can overcome!"
He cought the last few with his net and frolicked to his Eggmobile.
He then flew to his evil lair.
Somewhere on South Island...
The sound of the sound barrier being broken  could be heard.All that could be seen was a blue hero hedgehog with a mission.
You see, not long ago...This scientist,named Dr.Ivo Robotnik,snatched up all of the critters in South Island aswell.
What's odd is that no robots, called Badniks,were to be found.
Something was fishy, or in this case...egg-y.
Anyways, the blue blur was parkouring across walls and jumping from platform to platform,hopping on springs and spinning through loop-de-loops.As he ran, a trail of fire was forming behind him.
As he slowed down you could make out his image...
And when he braked,it became clear who it was...
None other than the Fastest Thing Alive:Sonic the Hedgehog!
He was at the edge of the island,looking to the left to see another island...West Side Island."Hm..."He said while in deep thought..."No way he could be on Angel Island...it's still afloat!
...Well,West Side Island...I'm comin' back!"
"But uh...how am I supposed to get THERE?...Wait.Hold on."
He pulled from his quills a walky-talky"
Blue Star to Tailspin!You readin' me lil' bro?"
A high pitched,rather young sounding voice came from the speakers
"Loud 'n clear,Blue Star!"
"Way past!"
"Find anything so far?"
"Nah.Unless you count grass, dead silence,and tumbleweeds...Then nothing."
"I'm not finding anything either..."
"Our best bet on finding out what's going on is West Side Island."
"SWEET!!"
Sonic jumped abit
"Simmer down, buddy..."
"Hehe!Sorry!It's just I've upgraded to Tornado and I can't wait to test it out ANDITSGONNABESOAWESOME!"
"I'm sure it will be."
"Where are you right now?"
"End of the island."
"Alright!I'll be on my way!"
"Sweet!And I'll be...ugh...waiting."
He rolled his eyes.
"I'll try not to take long!"
"Well you'd better."
"Okay!Be there in a jiffy!"
"Right."
The speedy hero tapped his foot impatiently.
On West Side Island...In Robotnik's lair...
He put an orange fish Flicky into his computer before grinning."MUAHAHAHA!This will be perfect!All I need now is to copy Sonic's essential life data,then my greatest creation will be complete!"
Evil laughter could be heard miles away.
Now back to our heroes...
"Takin' ages..."
WOOOOOSH!
"Hm?"
"Hop on,Sonic!"
An orange fox cub appeared before Sonic wearing goggles while in his seat in his plane.
"Took ya long enough,Tails!"
"Hehe!Sorry!"
They both smiled at eachother.
"See if you can make it!" The fox cub said,challenging the blue hedgehog.
"That's easy."
Sonic leaped back twice before charging up his signature Super Peel-Out.
He then launched forward into the air,landing onfront of the plane.
"Too easy!"The hedgehog said arrogantly,smirking.
"I'll be further next time!"The small fox,named Miles Prower and nicknamed Tails because of his multiple tails,said while pressing a button on the plane.
"Accelerate!"he yelled before the plane did a barrel roll before dashing forward.
"Yeah,let's do it to it!"
Sonic exclaimed confidently.

Chapter 2:Emerald Hill
Eventually Sonic and Tails made it to West Side Island.
Sonic jumped off the wind,landing on his feet when the plane landed.
Ahead of them was a zone FULL of Badniks,loop-de-loops,and item boxes.
"Boy,this sure brings back memories!
...Albeit vague...We blasted through this place so quickly!" said Sonic.
"I'll say!I remember going through a few of these loop-de-loops!" said Tails.
"Let's get a move on,Tails!
"Right!"
This place was none other than Emerald Hill Zone,the beautiful zone strikingly similar to South Island's own Green Hill Zone,and the start of Sonic and Tails' first adventure.Aswell as this one.
Sonic charged his signature Super Peel-Out,and Tails charging his Spindash.
They both take off,causing a sonic boom.
This instantly smashes two badniks and a shield monitor,covering up both of them.
Blasting through this zone,going through loop-de-loops and corkscrews,they eventually made it to the end of the first act.
Meanwhile...
Eggman was creating his machine to stop Sonic in his tracks,but was conflicted on what machine to use.
He'd already gone through all of his designs,and was having trouble thinking of a new one.
"I've got it!The Egg Carri-...nah,to complicated...Oh!I've got it!The Egg Empore—...nah,too extreme.
Hm..."
After thinking long and hard,Eggman came finally came up with a machine Sonic couldn't POSSIBLY stop!
"I've got it!"
ZZZZT...KRRRRRRRT...CRASH...SCREEEEEEE...
Eventually his machine was complete.
It was two silver balls that would grow spikes after hit,aswell as spinning around and crashing into its target.
"MUAHAHA!Perfect!Sonic won't stand a chance!"
He opened a door in the first ball that contained a control room,then closed said door.
He then rolled down a window.
The ball began slowly moving its way to Emerald Hill Zone,where Sonic and Tails had been.
