When you woke up, you noticed three things. One, you were unusually warm, two, who weren't in your house, and three, you were being hugged by someone with a nice sturdy heart beat.

You looked up slightly to see that you were laying with the one and only, Luke Hemmings. You sighed.

Slowly, you rose from the couch you were sleeping on. You checked the clock on the wall, 9:25. A.M. You walked into the kitchen and found everything you needed to make blueberry pancakes. Twenty minutes later, the smell of pancakes was wafting throughout the house. A few minutes later, a groggy looking Luke stumbled into the kitchen.

"Did you make breakfast?" He asked in a husky tone that, honesly, made your heart melt a little.

"Yup. Hurry up and eat, then get dressed, cause we're going to the park.

You were on your way walking to the park when you passed the pet store. You stopped and looked at Luke pleadingly.

"No." He said.

You have him your puppy dog eyes.

"Fine..." he mumbled and opened the door for you. You quickly perked up and ran into the shop, looking in every direction at all the animals, finally arriving at the cat section.

You saw an adorable black kitten with blue eyes.

"Must... have.... kitten!" You exclaimed, running to one of the employees.

"Can I help you miss?" He asked. He looked to be about your age.

"Yes I would like to adopt the kitten with blue eyes and black fur. Also I will need a litter box, kitty litter, kitten food, cat treats, and a cat bed." You said, pulling out your wallet. Hm, it comes in handy when your adoptive parents are filthy rich.

"Ok ma'am. I'll be right back with your kitten and supplies in a few minutes." He said, winking at you and walking away. You sighed and motioned for Luke to come in.

"What's all this about?" He asked.

"I'm getting a kitten. I need you to go over to the next store and buy a small wagon." You handed him your credit card, and a few minutes later, he came back in wheeling a wagon. Just as he reached you, the employee came back carrying the supplies you needed.

"I'll be right back with your kitten." He said, eyeing Luke and walking back.

"Ok, I will be your best friend in the entire universe if you make him back off!" You whisper pleaded.

"Only if you make me breakfast on the weekends." He crossed his arms.

"Ok deal." You got up off of your knees. The employee came back holding the kitten you wanted.

"In exchange for this kitten, I'll take your number," he said, trying to act cool. And just like at Caribou, Luke put his arm around your waist.

"Listen, if you talk that way to my girlfriend again, your face is going to become best friends with that wall." He said menacingly.

"Woah, chill dude. I didn't know she was taken." He backed up. "But your total cost is $251.68."

You handed him your credit card, piled everything in the wagon, put your credit card back in your wallet, picked up your kitten, and walked out of the store.
