The noise was a low deep grunt. I straightened up. A scream followed. My instincts kicked in. I grabbed my sword with my left hand, and it dipped under the weight I wasn't used to. Nevertheless, I ran.

I ran across the green as the conch horn blew. I was already to the hill when camper came streaming out, weapons and armour ready. They would never reach the hill to help me in time. I was in my own.

Panting, I reached the top.

In front of me stood an eight foot tall, half man half bull creature. Oh wonderful. A Minatour. I had one advantage though. It's back was to me.

I took a deep, quiet, breath.

And charged.
