I jumped up and swung a wobbly arc with my sword, making a deep cut in the Minotaur's back.

It roared loudly, as it crumbled into gold dust.

Leaning against a pine tree, was a girl, about my age. She was trembling, and looked like she was on the verge of crying. I took soft, careful steps towards her.

And I used the words my sister had, that one night two years ago, "It's all right. You're safe now."
