Dear Mother,
You always seem to blame me for things. You compare me to other people. You ask me why I'm not like my beautiful cousin, who turned out to be skinny and tall. You ask my why I'm not like your friends daughter, who helps her mom with rent while paying her rent. You ask me why I'm not like your smart niece, who is a gifted student. You ask me why I'm not strict like my sister. And you ask me why I'm not clean like my baby sister. You ask me all these things, but never hear my answer. I'm not beautiful because along the way you convinced me that I'm ugly, so my mindset stayed like that, and I stopped trying . I'm not a hardworking daughter because I'm barely getting back on my feet, after depression. I'm not smart, because you keep calling me stupid, idiot, and a dumbass, so I stopped trying because I feel stupid. I'm not strict like my sister because, I feel like kind words help better than harsh ones. I'm not clean because I feel dirty, I never seem to get this dirty feeling off from me. I'm not the daughter you want. But why can't you accept me the way I am. I am of course, your daughter.
