"Hi grandma!" Michael shouts before rushing past her and into the house. "Well hello Michael, no hugs?" Karen says with a chuckle.
The five year old rushes back to the door to hug her legs before going back inside to find his grandfather. "How're you mum?"
"I'm good, haven't heard from you since you told us that you were expecting another baby"
Liam scratches the back of his neck, "Sorry. Just been busy, dealing with a hormonal boyfriend and a five year old who thinks he knows everything"
"Well that's fair, why don't you come in? I'll make you some tea" "Alright just a quick tea session, have to head back to work"
Liam smiles, taking off his jacket to place on the couch. He follows behind his mother into the kitchen where his son and father were, "Hi dad"
"Oh look who stopped by, how're you doing?" Geoff asks, ruffling Michaels hair a little as he stuffs his mouth with blueberry muffins.
"Good good, everything is great. Zayn is about ready to have the baby out" The young man says with a chuckle, sitting beside his son.
"That's great, only one more month yeah?" "Yeah, we got the nursery built. Michael helped paint it"
Michael nods, "Yeah, it looks gweat" "Yeah?" Geoff asks with a chuckle as the five year old nods.
Liam sits across his father, muttering a thank you to his mother who places a mug in front of him. "Well, anything you want to talk about?"
Karen shrugs, "Anything you want to discuss?" "Nope" Michael slyly looks in between the two, messing with his sweatshirt. "Gwandpa can we watch bounty hunter?"
Liam frowns, "You let him watch bounty hunter?" He asks his father who shrugs. "Hey, it's a educational show"
"How?" "What if he wants to be a bounty hunter when he's older?" "He won't be" Michael scoffs, "I am, I gonna gwow a mullet too" he says as a matter of fact, pulling his chuckling grandfather into the living room.
Liam rolls his eyes, "I swear I don't know where his personality comes from" he mutters making his mother smile fondly.
"You of course, you acted just the same" "Nah, I wasn't that crazy" "You'd be surprised" The man blushes embarassing my, fiddling with his thumbs.
"Look, if you want to talk about that argument we had then I just wanna say I'm sorry. You're my mum and I'm not supposed to argue with you"
"Sometimes I feel like you hate me" "I don't, you're wrong. I love you, it's just. I haven't seen you in a long time so I'm used to you guys not being around"
"I just want us to be back to normal" Liam rests his chin on his hand, "Probably not back to normal like before, but I want to be able to have a nice dinner with you without being back the past"
Karen smiles widely, "That's all I want" she says, bringing her hand up to pinch her son's cheeks. "Mum c'mon, don't start with the squeezing cheeks" Liam whines, his face turning red.
"I'm sorry, I just miss doing that. You had the chubbiest cheeks" "Yeah but I don't have them anymore" "You sure? You do look like you've gain some weight"
Liam scoffs, "I did not," he says, feeling at his stomach. "Okay maybe a little, but I can easily burn that off. I still go to the gym"
Suddenly Michael walks in, already digging into the fridge. "Well hello, aren't you going to ask if you can go in the fridge?"
